  1. Just been emailed by a Rovers fan mate of mine that incredibly it could even be David Beckham in as player-manager, apparently he's been in a hotel in Manchester having talks with the owners. Wind-up, surely?
  2. Be wrapped up soon. Surprised the yanks haven't canned the poor get already tbh. Probs analysing shortlist as we speak. Jol.......Hiddink......Hitzfeld....Rikjaard......Hughton...... .....Allardyce!!!
  3. I agree. Just look how Chelsea have suffered when you take a few key players out of their team. Look how Liverpool were against us without Gerrard and Carragher. Yes if we lose our key players all season we will be in a relegation scrap, that was true before and remains true now. Only some January signings will give us the kind of depth to lose key players and still put out a winning team. And if you assume that Ashley & Llambias were thinking along the same lines as this, and you factor in that they didn't rate Hughton's record in the transfer market, I suppose you can see why logically they would want to get rid of Hughton before the run-in to the transfer window. Except this is Ashley and Llambias we are talking about, and we all know their agenda is all about asset-stripping and micromanaging, so that's why the got Pardew in.

I think you just asked him if you could be his special friend, as you'd like to tag team him with some mates, as you'd like to show him a great night.

Where's that idea coming from? Reading around, browsing the forums, reading tweets on Twitter, watching news reports, that sort of thing. Well if it's in reaction to the Liverpool game then it's almost entirely correct. Even the players and Pardew himself agree that it was Hughton's result. Not sure where the idea that it will continue is coming from just yet. Oh, well, that would just be an (as yet completely unjustified) personal concern. Hope it stays that way though.

What I'm about to say here will go down like a cup of cold sick with the majority of people but I'm just going to say it anyway...is anyone else concerned that any anger directed towards Pardew in public could well come back to bite us? See, we know how the media works when it comes to us lot, and I can't help thinking that if large sections of the fans adopted the line that any victories are down to Hughton and any losses are down to Pardew/Ashley/Llambias, won't that reflect really badly on us and allow the press to persist with their line that we're the most difficult to please fans in football? Maybe, I dunno...just a thought...but maybe Ashley realises that as well? I'm no Ashley apologist, by the way. I'm just voicing a concern.

  10. The evidence needs to show the glass being filled up tbh. Probably better without the glass tbh, just straight penis-to-mouth action. Like this:
  11. Eeeuuuwww. I bet you've tried it at home on your own, haven't you?

  13. Seems Pardew's having an immediate effect. Ashley is clearly vindicated.
  14. You're not fit to referee. Yes, we know that, but what were they singing about this ref?
  15. Barton telling someone to suck his cock there, I think... Wonder if the FA will want to take another look at that
  16. He'll still benefit financially from that though, TV money?
  17. Some people need to be reminded they weren't all singing Hughton's praises before he was sacked.
  18. I don't think you've quite caught up with the fact that the game has changed here, quite a bit. A mackem victory no longer holds the same currency, Pardew would be more than safe. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me to discover Ashley derived some pleasure himself from watching Toon fans get irate about it.
  19. Personally, I'm starting to realise that Mike Ashley is doing us all a massive favour and is quite possibly saintly in his intentions. By alienating us all from our club so much that we are forced to stop buying merchandise, attending matches, wasting money in the pub on matchdays, etc he's actually looking to help us all through these financially constrained times by freeing up more of our money to spend on more rewarding and healthier pursuits such as spending more quality time with our loved ones at weekends and on weekday evenings, going for walks in the park, singing in the local Church choir on a Sunday... ...why, thank you, Mike. A knighthood is in the bag for you now for your endeavours for improving the state of the economy, society and public health in the North East.
  20. Probably the way things will pan out. Ashley will probably already have stuck a few quid on it. Is there any financial benefit for Ashley in seeing us get relegated again? Unless he's got some sort of weird betting scam going (not that I'd ever believe that to be possible, I mean...it's just speculation on the back of what Martin Samuel was writing about in the Daily Mail.)
