This is a good an outcome as they could've reasonably hoped for. Short is nuts to write it off. He should have suspended it pending their reemergence and made it kick in upon championship play off qualification, promotion etc etc. That's what he's tried to do all season though without success. He just wanted rid. Yeah but to write off that volume of cash completely man, he should just administered the filthy cunts.

If Cardiff don’t go up, I’d throw good money at Warnock if I was them. I think either would comfortably get them promoted as Champions. The challenge they'll have is the season after when they've no parachute payment, poor crowds and much better squads to play tbh. Next year is a foregone conclusion imho.

Mick McCarthy rumoured to be inbound as their new gaffer.
  5. That's a low down dirty article. Scummy paper.

This is as positive an outcome for them as possible tbh. Incredible that Short would just write off the debt completely so that they effectively start next season with a £30m + advantage over the rest of the league due to the parachute payment. For all they will be paying higher wages generally, should they get out at the first attempt they'll have been 'rescued' by Short's decision. Effectively, it allows them to start again, like a new club but with a huge head start. 'Groups' of Investors rarely work out in football though imho. Too many cooks. The only way it could work is if they appoint a figurehead and the other money men sit quietly in the background.

    That appointment went well.
  8. Amazing effort. What do you reckon the cash out at HT would've been?
  9. Conducted himself with real class this weekend. Should be a shoo-in for the job full time if he wants it.
  10. Some of this will also be Rafa's side planting stories too tbf. As much as the club are a pack of cunts, Rafa knows how to play the game in terms of press manipulation etc very well.
  11. Totally agree. Wouldn't even consider him nowadays.
  12. Kicked their player. Unprovoked? Looked like Dawson had stood on his foot seconds before but not sure whether that he intentionally done so or not...
  13. He was higher up his target list for the summer where we went down though allegedly.
  14. I didn't see enough OF him. Still no idea if he can cut it in the Premier, but I like his attributes. Good in the air and relatively quick. Also pulls wide very effectively which i think Rafa will like. Agreed - still not seen enough of him (or enough of him fully fit anyway) to form a comprehensive opinion but broadly he looks suited to both the league and the system Rafa plays so I wouldn't write him off.
  15. Expecting a Custis defence in 3,2,1........ you weren't wrong It's a fucking Morgan/Trump-esque cartel.
  16. He's a proper cock like. Can't stand him. I only hate Pardew more. Him and Allardyce are far and away the top 2 on my wanker list though. Kenny Dalglish would have been up there with them for throughly ruining one of my favourite ever NUFC sides but he's a completely irrelevant mumbling miserable cunt nowadays.

  18. I don't mind him too much defensively, it's his final ball/general productivity in the final third. Utter garbage. And, you're right, we really don't take advantage of his pace. He's just not good enough at either end for me. Not awful either, just looks like a player who is never quite going to step up and make a name for himself. I've been a supporter of him generally and there's not a better manager for him to work under but he's pissed me off no end this week tbh. Fickle .
  19. This is the FA we are talking about. and a guy wearing a NUFC shirt. We all know what that means.
  20. Huddersfield are gone imo. A point today would have helped massively. They'll lose all their last 3 Southampton need one more win. Going to be difficult away to Everton and Swansea I'd like to see Swansea win tonight just to wipe that smug grin off Hughes's face. I've got a bet of Brom 20th, Stoke 19th, Soton 18th for a grand so hoping for the same fucking shite bet to put on as you need teams to do well, but shite at he same time. Fingers crossed for you . Not a good day today for you though . Put it on about 10 games ago and been going swimmingly until now . I'd have thought you were home and hosed until today. Poor bugger. Swans win tonight would be a big result for you. Saint's fixtures are the problem for you I think. Momentum is the key at this stage.
  21. Huddersfield is where my money is now. Shame for WBA after the way they've played since they binned the window fitter. Bodes well for them next season and you wouldn't want to be one of the teams going down with them especially given there will be some other decent teams who don't get out of the Champ this season.

  23. Agree - only a young lad but needs to impose himself on games/have more of a general impact.
