The challenge they'll have is the season after when they've no parachute payment, poor crowds and much better squads to play tbh. Next year is a foregone conclusion imho.

Incredible that Short would just write off the debt completely so that they effectively start next season with a £30m + advantage over the rest of the league due to the parachute payment. For all they will be paying higher wages generally, should they get out at the first attempt they'll have been 'rescued' by Short's decision. Effectively, it allows them to start again, like a new club but with a huge head start. 'Groups' of Investors rarely work out in football though imho. Too many cooks. The only way it could work is if they appoint a figurehead and the other money men sit quietly in the background.

I didn't see enough OF him. Still no idea if he can cut it in the Premier, but I like his attributes. Good in the air and relatively quick. Also pulls wide very effectively which i think Rafa will like.
