As much as I've criticised the clubs historic policy in relation to cup competitions, I'd play a very weakened team here and put everything into survival for the long term benefit of the club.
Ashley is more likely to get his price if we're a Premiership club. If we drop again it just means another 12 months of pain stuck with this fucker.
It's not even difficult. He doesn't play two up front, Joselu came on, Murphy came on, Hayden was struggling badly, Shelvey's suspended and there was no alternative.
I'd rather have gone Joselu at ten and then Mitro up top tbh.
That's the reality of the situation. It's not so much the two losses as how shite we've looked in the process. Weak at the back, soft in the middle and zich up front. It's going to be a struggle if that's our game plan for this season.
Said it elsewhere but we need three, first team ready and proven, players urgently.
That's our only hope.
Yeah - you simply can't let him ghost passed you. He needed to have made it much harder.
As I said, he should be able to learn about our game coming off the bench for the first month though. Blame that daft baldy cunt for that.
Well there's not a chance of that happening like.
Then we'll go down.
We urgently need a premiership level keeper, a number ten and a proper left back as minimums imho.
If we don't get those three then put a fork in us.
Showed some glimpses of obvious quality but also looked very naive on the ball on occasions probably due to the fact he's a kid playing in a new league.
Not helped by being dropped into probably the most important slot in the team because of Shelvey's indiscipline.
Would've benefitted from a phased introduction to our football imho but something to work with for sure.
