As much as I've criticised the clubs historic policy in relation to cup competitions, I'd play a very weakened team here and put everything into survival for the long term benefit of the club. We're down without 3 BIG signings of proven quality. One of which must be a number ten.

Showed some glimpses of obvious quality but also looked very naive on the ball on occasions probably due to the fact he's a kid playing in a new league. Not helped by being dropped into probably the most important slot in the team because of Shelvey's indiscipline. Would've benefitted from a phased introduction to our football imho but something to work with for sure.
