  1. He will never be a £20 million player man. Flipping hell what are some of you guys smoking. I hate to tell you this but outstanding form tends to increase a players value. Hence the comment consistency comment. In a world where Andy Carroll can sell for £35m after a decent year, there is no way an on-form (for a period of time) HBA can't generate £20m. On his day, he's absolutely world class, the challenge of his next coach is getting it to be 'his day' more often than our talentless collection of bellends who put the cones out everyday.
  2. I think I would too. I also hadn't realised how good Jermaine Defoe's England record was. Appreciate he's be a step back though.
  3. To fuck it up so spectacularly is quite the achievement. You really have to hand it to Pardew and his team of coaches. I can't understand how the mercurial Ben Arfa hasn't improved ten fold from learning off Steve Stone.
  4. Defensively, I think we look quite vulnerable as a unit but going forwards it looks much more dynamic. I'm looking forward to seeing what Hodgson does in respect of formations. Hope it's something interesting like 4-3-3.
  5. £3m At his peak, he's got to be a £20m player. The day when someone gets him performing consistently over a season or two their owner will be clapping his hands. Buy for £3m and sell for £20m. Happy days. It almost makes you wonder why Mike Ashley isn't interested in him. If he wasn't already our damaged goods, he soon would be.
  6. He'd get through most games in second gear.
  7. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes to the US.
  8. That's a shocking bit of cheating from the ex-mackem there. Can you get a straight red for a dive?
  9. Agree. He must have the pick of Europe pretty much. What makes you think that? Because he's 18 and someone has just offered £27m for him. You don't think he'd be an attractive prospect to other successful clubs?

  11. Most fans will start next season again blinded by the new names and inevitable PR generated from the shit houses in charge of the club. It'll be like the last 24 months didn't happen. Yup. And now that a mid-table finish has now become somehow acceptable, it'll be a case of "see? Pardew deserved another chance, he's doing a good job" if we're 9th. Exactly. He'll be given a free pass next season, they'll make up with NCJ and those pesky 'Jawdee's' will be silenced once again. Bought off on the cheap. Bought off with money that should have been spent some 3 years ago, let alone at the end of January.

  13. Surely no way the turnover will be that big? I can't remember ever experiencing a window like that, much less under Ashley. Understand that point but there's quite a few due to go without even thinking too hard about it: - Jonas - Shola - Remy - Gosling - HBA - Obertan - Marv There's 7 without allowing for good bids or players wanting away (Debuchy possibly?) It's going to be quite the summer for changes I reckon. Just a shame the coaching staff and manager will still be here come August. My fear is we replace the bulk of them with english grafters like Colback etc. Edit - We're also too light on squad numbers so the 8-9 incoming that Lovejoy mentioned, has to be a good bet given those leaving.
  14. Exactly what I would do. He's never let England down and been our best player over the last ten years. Don't really see what Baines brings over Cole other than set pieces which I doubt he'd take anyway.
  15. Get used to that. I'd wager good money that they'll end up back in bed with NCJ over the summer too. The knobheads in our support will read a few positive headlines, see a few signings and be singing the wankers name after a few games. Depressing.
  16. Yep - you'd imagine he'd be a target but Colo staying may put a stop to it as Lescott is also left sided CB and after decent dollar in terms of wages. I'd have thought he would've been the number one choice for Colo's replacement if he had of gone back to Argentina.
  17. I'll show my arse in Fenwicks window if he makes it as a regular first teamer. He's not got the ability, the heart nor the will I'm afraid. Just like his brother that you guys seem to want to forget about.
  18. Out of interest, what attacking intent from us do you remember from the second half? I don't but if you're making some sort of inference to Ameobi Jnr's mini-run then it says a fuck of a lot about your expectations.
  19. A fast becoming trademark Cajun dig at the fans. So you've never seen a post about the AmeobiS fucking off? You know as well as I do he is often bundled in with his brother because they share the same surname. And both being shite has nothing to do with it. He's 22. Not 17. I've seen literally hundreds of better 22 year olds in NUFC colours.
