May be a bit FMish but other than a full back and a centre half I don't think we need to spend much on big ticket players so this may be an opportunity to move the club forward. When you take out Smiths & Harpers wages those figures combined would probably cover the 6 or 7 development players in their late teens/early twenties.

I still think he'll find his way back to Spain within a couple of years. What a player though. Will wish him well when he eventually leaves that lot. C'Mon Citeh!

Tend to agree with this. I don't know the lad but he's at a good age, is seemingly one of the better defenders down there, gives us a bit more pace at the back and has (from looking at Wiki) an excellent fitness record. He could be shit, but even if he's a similar level to Mike Williamson he will be a sound signing for the second half of this season. Agree with this. A low risk way of improving the squad depth. I'm all for it.

Buyers and sellers having to show their hands/accept the interest that is there and start to deal with each other. I should imagine January, for the most part, is about clubs posturing, playing games and winding players and their Agents up in the hope that the fee will be as low as possible.

think it goes to show how much that extra bit of dedication and making a player feel wanted goes - being on his tail for a year and flying our private jet out to senegal just for him was sure to impress. for players of the right character anyway, there's always dickheads who will go back on their word once a bigger or richer team calls. Totally agree - and great to see.

That's the line up I would've picked. For the small amount of goals and assists Jonas gets I'd rather see him operating in a more defensive role, which he's excelled at this season. That gives us a great midfield three who have a great work rate and are all good passers and ball winners and that forward three looks immense That was kind of my thought...............we aren't really the type of side who whip balls into the box from traditional wingers and hopefully the attacking fullbacks would be able to press the defending fullbacks if we get Santon MK2 for the other side. Very solid core, very creative outlet in HBA and two lethal forwards. Happy days.
