  1. Thats the drawback of playing two wingers who can't beat a man.
  2. Thats the best cross I can recall Simpson whipping in. Fucking fantastic.
  3. Similar to Stephen Ireland. A bargain if you can get his head right, a waste of money if not. The ability is there. As long as signing or loaning him doesn't eat in to the HBA fund I'd be ok with it.

The guy has absolutely no right to be at a football club like ours. What's worse is that everyone knows it..............he does, the players, the fans - it's only a matter of time until it goes tits up. He's an Ashley man which makes his appointment untenable because every single time we have a bad run people will (rightly) question his diabolical management history. Ashley struck lucky with Hughton, he'll not do the same this time. I can see past a lot of Ashley errors but come on; Alan Fucking Pardew in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the country. Give me a fucking break.

Didn't Ronaldo shift his focus when he was shagging Paris Hilton and that lot? Whilst he was having a kid with fuck knows who? He's still one of the top 5 players in the world.
  6. We've got 6 wins, 4 draws and 9 losses to date, with arguably more difficult fixtures to come in the second half of the season. It's not inconceivable that we fuck this up. And a fanbase waiting to turn.

I agree that he needs time, he's got it anyway. I don't hate him but I think his rumoured involvement in the sacking of Hughton was s***. We have no proof that he was involved but I find it hard to believe that his name was randomly plucked out of fresh air. He was brought in as an upgrade on Hughton so my expectations of him are to do better than the person he’s replaced and he’ll not get an easy time off me because of how he got the job. Not bothered about how he got it tbh, anyone in his position would take a job like ours if it was on offer. He didn't sack CH nor did he force Ashley to make that decision, he was offered a job and took it and I don't blame him for that. Totally agree with the bit in bold, and the whole credibility of the decision hangs on that. Pardew has to make a difference and, as I said above, getting results when key players are missing has to be a big part of that difference. And....................do you think he will? It's all well and good playing devils advocate but for me he's a fucking criminal appointment given his complete lack of gravitas and he's very fortunate to have inherited a 'bunch of lads' with good spirit and togetherness because, without that, his appointment would be taking us down.
  8. Isn't Sessegnon more defensively minded? I thought he was a box to box type rather than creative like Yeah - I'd always considered him a bit like a Fellaini without the ginormous hair.

How far away from serious pressure was CH? I think CH would've garnered significantly more support through the bad periods due to his previous achievements and the general goodwill towards the fella. Nobody expected miracles of him. If an 'Experienced Manager' is recruited as an improvement over the status quo then naturally pressure will be higher and patience lesser. If he came with more gravitas then the argument would naturally be to give him time (see the argument for Hodgson from some quarters) but his previous clubs have been Reading, Southampton, Charlton etc so he'll find himself with very limited public support should results go against him. That and the fact he's an Ashley man.

He's three games away from serious pressure imo. Never the fans choice and he'll only ever be a short run of defeats away from being public enemy number one.
  12. Big mates with Shearer which might preclude him from wanting to be associated with NUFC under the current regime.
  13. Gold, Sullivan and Allardici made for each other. Nailed on. Hope to god he takes them down if he gets the gig.
  14. Nope, he's trimmed down. Only 958000 stone now.
  15. Michael Johnson off to Wolves on loan allegedly.
  16. Club have officially rejected his request according to journos on Sunday Supplement.
