When Mike Ashley refused to lower the price watch it fast become an issue. No one is spending £360m on a championship club I genuinely believe the landscape is such at the minute that even Ashley would cut his losses. Last time we went down he had to loan the club 40 to 60 million. With the current losses even greater due to Covid I think your talking an even greater amount. We know he’s a gambler but promotion for a 3rd time at the 1st attempt ? He’s not a complete fool, I think he would maybe accept 200 million, and a further payment on promotion. It’s also been rumoured of sweeteners for Fraser group branching out into Saudi. That’s 3 respected journalists now confirming relegation is not a deal breaker, obviously no one wants relegation but potentially a safety blanket if the worst happens. Hope you are right. It would be peak Newcastle to finally get the dream takeover and get relegated You know what at this point I’d take Saudi ownership in the championship, as opposed to Ashley in the premiership. We’d have the finance to compete straight away on promotion, and the excitement level would be back. But let’s hope it doesn’t come to that and we survive. Yes, as I mentioned earlier today, I think other poor teams will help keep us up this season! That the same poor teams who've won the following points over the last five league games? Sheff Utd: 6 WBA: 3 Fulham: 3 Brighton: 5 NUFC: FUCK ALL Burnley: 9

Couple of things.... 1) Imagine you're the poor fucker dropped for ASM coming back, made to feel completely fucking useless. 2) They obviously see Jones as next seasons Chris Hughton imho. That daft fucker has been parachuted in with a view to running the side next season. He'll be derided from the heavens by a completely toxic NUFC fanbase sore that the takeover hasn't happened and from warning the useless porker from Nov2020 that we'd be going down only for him to stand by and watch us sink. Good luck Jonesy lad .

I’m going Calvert-Lewin, has us then Leeds and everyone have a double game week coming up. Me too.

Lingard wouldn't have worked in this team tbh. He's obviously better than what we have by some distance but this set up is not his game at all. He'd have looked fucking useless for us.

Bit harsh Minhosa[/member] he’s took a year off work and sunk a lot of his own personal money into what seems to be part of a clever strategy in forcing the pace of pre arbitration negotiations and arbitration itself, as the EPL have to answer his claims and likely to lose costing them a lot of money therefore making them more keen along with BeIn who are equally as guilty of anti competition involvement of sorting before answering the charge. They’ve made it clear they can only answer it once arbitration is completed so it must take place unless sorted before arbitration. Certainly amounts to more than cheerleading. Am I right in thinking he must be the owner of Keith Pattinson estate agents? IF this happens, it's not because a couple of blokes have chucked £50k at it and made a song and dance. As much as Whitley would like to believe that to be the case.

A f***ing field day of celebrating whilst others are doing the same? Woo. Radical. Do you seriously think there's any member on here that does not want to be taken over? Just because we're not all fully fledged members of that Keith Daftcunt Brigade doesn't mean we want it any less. That daft c*** is doing a lot more than yourself. You just sit back and let it play out, we’ll ignore the fact he is in contact with vital players in this process. Well, I'm not going out of my way to sensationalise nor give anyone false hope, so there is that. You'd have maintained far more credibility if you didn't engage because, every time you do, a little bit of belief you know what you're doing disappears forever. Your patter on here is also relentlessly boring. If you've got positive ITK then share it, if you're just a signed up member to shout 'soon' then know that it's reassuring no fucker.

Two great posts. Rafa knew his time was up and was looking to upgrade him. The fact he’s outstayed Rafa says everything wrong with the club really. Same with that lazy, baldy nonce strolling around the centre of the park pumping hollywood balls into the stand and not being able to beat the first man off his corners.

If the PL have blocked the bid due to piracy then it’s perfectly reasonable to block it unless an agreement is reached between the Gulf states, otherwise BeIN will sue the fuck out of the PL imo And also we have to remember that the PL themselves have desperately tried to bring legal cases against KSA directly. Seperate from Bein (albeit probably at their behest). The PL, rightly, have a problem with the KSA regime. They're hardly going to be falling over themselves to let these 'thiefs' have a stake in their prime product. 1/20th of it. So 5% of their core product is owned by the very people that have been nicking it. It's not a stretch to see why it was never straight forward despite protestations from the buyers about their supreme confidence etc. From the perspective of someone who really wants this deal done, I can only hope the PL have made some grave legal error in the application of their own Owners Test. This is kind of what I meant, the closest thing in the O+D test is if someone has been convicted of a crime (or theft). Nobody from the consortium has. It absolutely causes an issue for the PL with the piracy but the key thing is its not under the rules of their own test. They can't change the rules just because Bein don't like what's happened. I guess this is where our legal team come in. I think you're right. We'll have to either prove they've misapplied the test or have enough evidence of Bein influence/potential corruption that the PL fear this getting into the public domain. You'd imagine their legal counsel will be equally as robust.

Well you would imagine they must have done otherwise why would there be so much confidence from the legal team employed by NUFC that we will win the case? I hope so but part of me wonders whether Ashley just wants to be enough of an irritation to force it through (tanks on their lawn etc etc). I'd also say any 'confidence' around legal cases I take with a pinch of salt given the cheerleaders around the buy side regime have been inaccurate at all turns to date. It just needs to play out, minus the cheerleading from people like the NCSL knobhead, imho.

And a 'regulatory body' for want of a better term, who have had their core product nicked and one of their key partners 'wronged' in the process. Whichever way we chop it, and I really really really want it to happen, it was hardly unforeseeable that the PL wouldn't be readily compliant in approving a takeover nor would one of their key rights holders be an enabler for it. Hence, it's probably legal or bust, before there's any mutually beneficial deal with Bein.

Twas I CalmintheChaos[/member] - I'm equally confident so will be interesting to see who is the victor, either way, a good cause will benefit.

That's a great post but tbh, I've a feeling he'll be hated due to his comments after he leaves. He's got a lot to say about us, Ashley, expectations, fans etc. My money says he'll be booed should we play them after he's signed, not due to his performances for us but for his opinions thereafter.

King for Ritchie being rumoured as some sort of swap deal by a couple of decent sources on twitter.

Totally agree. You don't bring in more troops if you're planning a coup. Ashley is backing his man. Will be funny when we lose the next two and the fat pricks are staring down the barrel. Cunts.
