  1. If it was up to me he'd be gone already, but I don't really care as long as he is gone before the spurs match. If they keep him on for any longer, early concerns needs to be raised. No matter how unprepared and sudden the takeover came about.
  2. Much easier to get behind this project now that Ashley is gone. Signed up.
  3. Yes please. Nobody on here likes him yet his tweets and quotes are copied on here multiple times every fucking day giving him legitimacy. If you don't like him, don't follow him, don't share his bullshit with others and he goes away into obscurity. Easy.
  4. What did Jesus mean when he said forgive them for they know not what they do? Definition: Don't be angry at someone for doing something bad if they are ignorant and don't know what they are doing is wrong, or if they don't know a better way to do something.

    Transfer rumours

Don't think Cavani would work out for Man Utd if he was relied on as a regular starter. I don't want to buy players at their peak either. Much rather prefer talent that we grow as "our own" if that makes sense

    Transfer rumours

I've never been a fan of "PL experience" which is roughly translated to 28+ years players who are on the decline looking for a final big pay day. It never served us well before Ashley, it will not serve us well now either (although it's a situation we may now be more likely to buy us out of instead of being stuck with an ageing, unmotivated squad). Never had an issue with MA's strategy in the sense that he wanted talents over experience, however under new ownership I hope the next part of the strategy where MA would normally cash in changes to a strategy where we get to keep the talents that have blossomed and add to them.
  7. Did my first tweet since 2018. Shocking by tf.
  8. "I'm not even a Newcastle fan but the thought of him falling short of an ultimately meaningless milestone that will mean a ridiculous amount to him gives me the kind of erection you could fell an oak tree with."
  9. Actually prefer if this ended up being the case than going down the Chelsea/Man City route.
  10. Just a quick google paste if anyone is like me and always forget what the corporate jargon actually means. The nonexecutive chair is responsible for chairing the board meetings as well as the executive sessions of independent directors. The nonexecutive chair's role is to improve and maximize the governance process, not to manage the company. An executive chairman has many of the same responsibilities as a non-executive chairman, except he's a company's paid employee. An executive chairman takes a more active role in supporting the CEO, ensuring the CEO grows into the role. He can help the CEO make the right decisions and avoid wrong ones. A chief executive officer (CEO) is the highest-ranking executive in a company, whose primary responsibilities include making major corporate decisions, managing the overall operations and resources of a company, acting as the main point of communication between the board of directors (the board) and corporate operations and being the public face of the company. A CEO is elected by the board and its shareholders.
  11. Well that should quickly determine whether she is suited to lead the club onwards or not
  12. Don't overthink it. For now just be relieved that Ashley is gone for now forever

Same here. If we can get a decent manager & coaching team in, improve facilities (stadium, training ground, youth facilities) and focus on getting better commercial deals in place to unlock the potential in the club on its own without ridiculous cash injections I don't really mind what kind of transfer strategy we have as long we can see a clear plan and improve our performances.
  14. Hope he, Charnley & Bruce all leave without making (or getting to make) any exit remarks. I hope this thread & the Bruce thread soon disappears into void on this board, never to be bumped again.
  15. That's my thinking too, but even if we were to get relegated I couldn't give a flying fuck tbh. 1 season of rebuilding > one more day of Mike Ashley.
  16. tbf, unless it is personal column by one of their writers/journalists, it isn't the newspapers job to report their own meaning on anything.
  17. I'm more surprised he hasn't managed Watford already.
  18. Tom Davies is the same type of midfielder as Colback and Hendrick. Waste of space in that Everton side.
  19. From what I can gather, 03/04 & 04/05 seasons were peak Bolton: 04/05 had: Campo Speed Candela Hierro Ngotty Ferdinand Jäskelainen Okocha 03/04 had some gems as well, sadly not present in the following peak season: Djorkaeff Ibrahim Ba Mario Jardel Javi Moreno However, they didn't have Speed, Candela, Hierro and Ferdinand that season so It's difficult to say what season was the most Bolton out of all the Bolton seasons. 04/05 probably tips it for me.
  20. Doesn't matter. Next person will be just as hated as Kinnear, Pardew, Carver, McClaren & Bruce and we'll see the same repetitive and futile calls for the next persons resignation in no time. Rafa was the exception, not the rule. Hughton would eventually have met the same destiny as the others. Just stick with Bruce and let it burn.
