Agreed. There's too much focus on Steve Bruce. It was exactly the same under Alan Pardew. We can't count on the solidarity of fans to get him him out. The club needs to burn so it costs Ashley more to own it than to sell at a loss. It's the only way I can see for long term improvement.

Or Operation Top Six enacted. Sorry Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal.

Watching Rosenborg in the champions league back in the 90's looking back at it was kinda magic. It felt like the whole country turned into Rosenborg fans during their matches, and then everyone outside of Trondheim area went back to hating them right afterwards. They were a very good side back then, so it's not the same as a PL winning team ending below a Norwegian team in the CL group today. The eastern european teams back then didn't lose so many players to the bigger leagues either so suspect those teams were better compared to PL teams back then unlike now.

The Liverpool collapse is hilarious. Would love for them to miss out on europe next season completely and see which players they manage to hold onto.

The club needs to burn. Nobody better to facilitate that than Bruce.
-
Needed either a win to put us in a good position to stay up or lose to put more pressure on Bruce with the hope of getting someone better in. A 0-0 was so predictable.
-
I hope we make them look like 2010 Barcelona today. With our luck, it'll be a 0-0 or 1-1, Bruce lauded by media for the master mind performance, getting points on the board despite unprecedented injury list which he had no control over whatsoever despite his track record at every club he's ever managed.
-
With the exception of Darlow and Carroll all of them (unless they had some niggling injuries) would have been starting if it was up to me.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was something like: Dubravka Krafth - Lascelles - Clark - Dummett Hendrick - Shelvey - Hayden - Fraser ------------------Willock-------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ------------------Joelinton------------ or Dubravka Krafth - Lascelles - Clark - Dummett ------------------Hayden-------------- Hendrick - Shelvey - Willock - Fraser ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------- ------------------Joelinton------------

.....and in the following 3 seasons he accumulated 1 goal and 3 assists. 1 of the assists was in the championship, another one in the league cup. I fail to see your point? They are obviously both awful players, but to jump from Hendrick to Fumaca and Billy Askew is quite the leap. We should never forget the awfulness of Cack and Smith

Arguably playing 4 CB's & 4 CM's at the same time. I fucking love the thread title - this will no doubt be a jurasico for the ages.
-
You must have erased your memory of Cack Jogback and Alan Smith.
-
Is it irrational to dislike these low sock wankers like McBurnie and Grealish?
-
Feels like Lewis needs at least 2 seconds on the ball without being pressured in order to pass the ball forward. Get Duff flashbacks with all his backpasses after receiving the ball in a position where he should attempt to dribble and get forward.
-
Poor from Lewis, poor from Hayden, poor from Dubravka.
-
Can you slag off more players in the team please?
-
Give the ball to ASM strategy looking viable at the moment.
-
It requires team mates to make good runs too. If they don't have any specific instructions on where and when to make runs and just whim it every game the passes will be more difficult to make as well I would imagine.
-
Lejeunes passes in that clip man Him in the squad would render Shelvey completely useless.
-
I know this is counter productive but I hate when this thread gets bumped, which happens very often. It's almost 6.5 years since he left but this thread can't have left the front page on many occasions in that time period. He doesn't deserve so much attention.

1.5 maybe if we're being kind?

 There's people here who'll never concede that the takeover has failed. We'll be sat here posting in decades time and they'll still be all "Announcement on Friday. Mark my words." Was just about to reply something similar. Haven't really paid attention to the takeover thread since PIP & Co announced they pulled out mid last year. Unless there's anything new (substantial information) that has completely went past me I fail to see why a relegation is such a bad thing for a takeover. In my mind I've already embraced relegation, and hope that we don't succeed in getting straight back up too so that the club becomes a financial burden to Ashley.
-
If we get relegated, even with selling the obvious players (like Dubs, Fernandez, Lejeune, ASM, Hayden, Lascelles, Schar, Wilson, Fraser, Almiron), we could field a team like this: ---------------Darlow-------------- Manq---Clarke--Dummett---Lewis --------Hendrick--Shelvey--------- Murphy----------------------Ritchie -----------Gayle--Joelinton-------- Bench: Gillespie Krafth Longstaff Shortstaff Getting in some cheap experienced cover and giving youth players some chances, that should (with a semi competent manager) easily get us up again first time trying.

Isn't it more Everton under Moyes to 4th finish vibes?
