Not sure if this is serious but neither of those look particularly exciting. Surely Gerrard's batteries are going to run out soon. Gerrard was arguably Englands best player as recent as in the Euros. Lucas was one of the best holding midfielders in the PL before he was injured. Allen had a great season with Swansea, and could potentially thrive on the players he is linking up with at Liverpool. Allen is still young, and can only get better. Don´t really see what is funny with this, even though they have paid more than Allens perceived market value. I also forgot about Shelvey who could have a break through season. Compared to our central midfield they are ahead of us in quality and depth in my opinion.

Good signing for Liverpool. They will have a great starting line up (in central midfield) and solid cover for European games and cup games. 1. Allen - Lucas - Gerrard 2. Spearing - Adam - Henderson

It´s possible to see om PL Fantasy League, but I´ll be damned if I go through all of PL´s wingers to match him up with them. From what I could see, none really stood out and did much more than Jonas in terms of end product if you look past the top of the class wingers.

Since the Jonas discussion seems to be at its best in this thread: Is there any stats available that compares wingers goals & assists? I wonder how Jonas compares to the rest of the PLs main wingers.

I think he is a much better player than Henderson. In that context 12.5m is a steal.

Allen is a good player, and the price seems fair considering what other English players go for. He is still very young, so will most likely get better as well. Not sure what all the laughs are about. Seems more like a reflex reaction from some.

Ferguson will school him into quite the average holding midfielder with no flair.

He is still young, and can improve by working on his weaknesses, but he is not worth £10m as of today - IMO.

I can sort of see what they mean, as we didn´t play particularly well. Thought we had a weird ability to drag the match quality down a few levels and grind out results while most of the time being under pressure from the opposing team.

Can´t fathom why you watch these games the way you go on and on and on and on about how boring Spain are Sewelly, like a broken record every fucking day. Aye, he's very one dimensional and nowhere near as good as the hype suggests. Him wanting to play down the middle for example was a load of tosh, but he bought into his own hype. He's a winger who is best at beating people using his unbelievable pace and acceleration. Much rather have Ben Arfa. You could have just stopped there man instead of introducing "our" version of Catts for me like.
