https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/rafa.1428793/ As if. Why are they so angry with him asking for a transfer kitty, it's all they ever mentioned, seem to think he's been given a ton to spend, have they seen our net spend numbers since he's been here. FFS such a sad bunch of wankers.

It's not always about how good a player is it's also about how they fit the way the team plays and how they effect the culture of the club. Mbemba and Mitro are prime examples of that. Shaqiri fails on both aspects for me, he doesn't work hard enough out of possession for Rafa and he has an awful attitude, I wouldn't want him a million miles from the club, he's a dick.

You really dislike the Welsh do you man ? Is there are story you want to share with us ?
-
Didn't that Clucus lad go down last year with Hull also ? There's a few of these kinds of players that seem to be magnets for relegation misery. Bassong I think was relegated three times too and Steven Caulker had his fair share.

Thee are no quotes in that article pure speculation. Gayle is a hugely saleable resource to a team looking to get into the PL, we'll get offers if we want to move on.

They were sinking like a stone before he left dude, if anything they should have sacked him earlier. Biggest mistake Stoke made was replacing him with Lambert, that one was never going to work, stupid choice.
-
Yeah Stoke fans will be pretty pissed off tonight, he's a very weird manager, there's not much pattern to his success. In some jobs he's done well early on, only for time expose his limitations, in others he's been bad out of the box. That Stoke squad is an absolute mess, aging unbalanced and huge character issues, he's been largely responsible for building it so not sure if Southampton should be rushing to time him down for the long term.
-
They are not down yet. Still needs Hudddersfield to get a point somehow. Surely they will beat that Stoke team.
-
Brom down and Southampton as good as safe. Huddersfield and Swansea for the last spot, could all be over tomorrow if Huddersfield get at least a point.
-
In terms of who would be better for us to be battling against next season, honestly not a bad situation if Southampton stay up. Hughes will have saved them, he'll get the gig full time, that's not a bad thing for other clubs.
-
Tammy Abraham really made a bad choice when he thought that going to Swansea with Paul Clement was better for his development than going to us with Rafa. Stupid boy.
-
If this holds Southampton are safe. Would need a nine goal swing on GD for them to go down now. Swansea really blown an excellent chance of survival with an awful run in the last couple of months.
-
Got a feeling both will survive and Huddersfield will sink. Huddersfield GD is gonna bite them in the bum, they desperately need one more point from two tough games.
-
Personally never saw him as the long term solution, age and wage demands would have always been a problem for Ashley. We need to resolve that striker situation for the new campaign, it should be top on the list iyam, we really do not have a worthwhile option up top.

I don't think we did at the time, it was around then that we moved from Durham university to our own facility in little Benton, we had been without our own training ground since we sold off the Benwell shithole.

Totally agree with that. If you want this utopia of winning loads of games every season (regardless of the opposition) and being in a permanent state of happiness. Then surely your aim is 7th spot in the champo. Because you don't want to come up and the following season be a little tougher for you. Being involved as a losing playoff team is too much to take (I still remember the one and only time we were in the playoffs, it hurt like hell to get knocked out by the dirty Mackems). What a life that is ? 20 wins or so is great but still over half your weekends are going to be disappointing, since there are 46 games. If you constantly keep missing out on the playoffs and promotion that'll begin to ebb away at you as a fan base, in the same way and probably a lot worse, than being uncompetitive, yet safe in the PL. Honestly I lost interest reading that shite after the first few lines, those years in the 80's and 90's where we were down there for way too long were soul destroying. The best part of the last two champo seasons was when we won the game to get us out of that crap. From a selfish perspective, being able to see my team play every week is wonderful, last season was horrendous with so little coverage of that league on Canadian TV.
