Then surely your aim is 7th spot in the champo. Because you don't want to come up and the following season be a little tougher for you. Being involved as a losing playoff team is too much to take (I still remember the one and only time we were in the playoffs, it hurt like hell to get knocked out by the dirty Mackems). What a life that is ? 20 wins or so is great but still over half your weekends are going to be disappointing, since there are 46 games. If you constantly keep missing out on the playoffs and promotion that'll begin to ebb away at you as a fan base, in the same way and probably a lot worse, than being uncompetitive, yet safe in the PL. Honestly I lost interest reading that shite after the first few lines, those years in the 80's and 90's where we were down there for way too long were soul destroying. The best part of the last two champo seasons was when we won the game to get us out of that crap. From a selfish perspective, being able to see my team play every week is wonderful, last season was horrendous with so little coverage of that league on Canadian TV.
