Think it's a little harsh on Moyes tbh, he filled the requirements of what he was brought in for, could see him establishing what he had at Everton there if he was given the job long term. They must have someone else already lined up because they made that statement about getting someone in in 10 days. I think we can breathe easy, there is no way Rafa will leave inside that time frame, he's a man of honour and he will give Ashley the chance to make the assurances he wants, whether he'll get them or not is open to debate, but it'll take a lot more than 10 days of talk for that to happen. I have very little time for West Ham, hope they employ someone like Chris Coleman next, since they like ex failed Mackem managers.

What a shocker, Southgate bottles it again. Some of the decisions there are horrendous. Rose can't even get in the Spuds team at the moment, I watched Arnold closely in that Roma game, I like the kid but he was culpable for pretty much all of Roma's attacking intent, he's not ready. The CBs, ffs Cahill is done, Stones has hardly played this season and has done nothing to justify his price tag, I'm yet to be convinced about Maguire at all, Jones ahead of Smalling, I don't understand that one. You can not tell me that Jamaal is not as good if not better than that lot. How Shelvey does not get in that squad when you look at the central midfield options eludes me. Honestly will be stunned if we get out of the group stages with that lamp in charge.

Crazy that these bastard have two players going to the world cup, that may be more than us. Mitro goes of course, not sure if Diame still plays international football and makes the senegal squad.

You have to factor in Bruce's playoff ability, he's a master at it. Expect them to somehow beat Fulham in the final.
-
Wigan,Sunderland? Brum and Hull.

From our perspective theoretically you've got to want Boro to get through and win the final, but if you look at both managers which one is most likely to keep a team in the PL, Bruce (whose been relegated a few times) or Pulis (whose never been relegated), then you've got to hope for Villa. It'll be funny if they do go up, wonder what Terry will do when he made this big point about not wanting to play his beloved Chelsea.

I will say this again. We are not in the market for Welbeck type of players. I heard Wilshere was already on 100k a week and is going to get a price rise to stay, welbeck will be on at least the same. We won't pay that amount in salary, which is probably a wise thing while we are still not a stable force in the PL. Our transfers will come from the smaller leagues around Europe or small clubs in big leagues are promising youngsters domestically.

I like Loftus Cheek but he's not the in the same mould or currently of the same quality as Shelvey. I watched a bit of him in the last couple of Palace games, he's not ready for international football yet and is more of a backup for the likes of Alli and Lingard to me. Wilshere not being included is a positive thing for Shelvey. I think it's a huge mistake though if Livermore gets the nob ahead of both of these. If he wasn't going to take Shelvey then surely he had to take Wilshere.

Don't think the guy who is modelling that Juventus shirt is doing it any favours though, it looks about two sizes too big for him and the stick on Jeep sign is hideous.
-
That was my first reaction too.

After the last couple of years, Hart shouldn't have even been in the conversation, if Southgate had took him he would have gotten pelters from the media.
-
Way too young obviously, feel for his family he leaves behind, RIP.
-
Never been the same after that cunt lunged into his knee. Very true, think it killed his NUFC career. Still angers me to this day that he got no real punishment for that, while Shelvey taps Alli on the first day of the season and gets sent off.
-
The detractors of Shelvey talk about his character rather than his football ability as being the thing that will see him miss out, yet one of the players likely to go instead was failed a drugs test because they found Cocaine in his system, lol, it's crazy how that happens. I think both will miss out if it's 4 from that list tbh, Henderson and Dier are bankers because of who they play for, Wilshire has too much of a reputation not to take, the final spot will go to Loftus-Cheek, however I think Lewis Cook and Possible Jack Cork will be in the conversation too, they will both be ahead of Shelvey in Southgate stupid mind.

It's a bitof a surprise like, look the qualities you need from a keeper: Shot Stopping Command of your area/coming for crosses Communication Distribution He's excelled at every single one of these. At one point in the second half Chelsea had some decent possession, the crowd was a little quiet for a while, and you could clearly hear over the effect mic him bellowing out instructions, he immense and I'm just baffled why it's the end of the season and we've not already signed him.

How is Joselu's Liverpool goal on there ffs
-
Motson in his younger days was the best IMO, now he's just senile. Moore was awful, Davies was up his own arse most of the time.
-
Think Kane may be gone in the close season, sell him and they can probably pay off that debt.
-
Gonna be an interesting few days and weeks now the season is over, a lot of clubs could move on in terms of manager. Arsenal, WBA and Swnasea already are Stoke will probably join them making all three relegated teams looking for a new boss. Chelsea will probably can Conte after today's game (obviously not before the FA cup final). Think Spuds may lose Poch to a PSG or someone. Everton, West Ham, Leicester and Southampton could feel like it's in their best interests to head in a different direction. I think Wagner will move on from Huddersfield to something better, Dyche may also but the thought of playing in Europe with Burnley will be hard for him to walk away from. Then of course there is Rafa, hopefully Ashley for once does the right thing and ensures he's far from the discussion here.

Lascelles is the clear winner, but so many stepped up especially in 2018, including Perez, Shelvey, Dubravka and Diame. Ritchie, Kenedy, Lejuenne and even Dummett too made vital contributions.

He highlights why I hate the loan system and think it should be banned. We've just basically helped make Chelsea 20 million, and paid a fee for the privileged of doing so. It also adds to the validity of Chelsea's plan to hoover up all the young talent and loan those out that can't make their final squad. Lukaku and Ake are two recent examples of how profitable a ploy it is for them. They couldn't do that if there was no loan market. It would force the players hand too more, if they want to play first team football they have to think twice about moves to the "big clubs". Wish him all the success in the world, it's a shame it's unlikely to be with us but thanks for your efforts.
-
I can't recall a more simple decision in terms of transfers in the club history, for the fee mentioned it's the no brainer of no brainers, stupid that it's not already done tbh.
-
He is right, he is the pantomime villain, but there is only one way to change that perception whether it is right or wrong. Start backing your manager, start putting into the club the same effort your main employee has. Maybe then the media and fans will begin to change their opinion of you.

Was looking through youtube for the lap of honour videos. Found this, nice vlog of the day:

To finish top ten, is an amazing achievement. I said a few weeks ago that he's probably 4th though in the voting for PL manager of the year. Behind Pep, Dyche and Hughton. I made need to reconsider that. He's pushing Dyche and Pep all the way. Ashley has to do everything to keep him here, surely surely he's not stupid enough that from a business sense he can see that backing the bloke to the extent he wants, is the only way forward. The more money he invests the more he will be rewarded.
