Sanchez is such at tart, like.

The irony of it being Burton who put the final nail in the coffin should never be forgotten after their taunts in May 2016. I hope the rot down there forever but would be shocked if they didn't spring straight back up, it's beyond dire down there.
-
Yes, I hate manure with a passion but seeing Spuds continue to choke when it matters is more fun.
-
Find it very interesting that, that's the official club twitter quoting those soundbites.

I remember vividly when they appointment him, NUFC were ahead of them back then and they appointed this guy no one had heard of, and his first order of business was to bring another unknown with him Vierra. A left field appointment that was so out of keeping with a pretty conservative club. Transformed them practically overnight, we finished ahead of them in 2nd that first season, winning at their place in the final run in secured that, but it was the last time we were ahead of them in his time. An absolute genius of of football manager, miserable, biased git but always looked out for his teams interests above everything else. The FA should have moved heaven and earth to get him to replace Hodgson, he would have been ideal in that role. Maybe he still can.

Jinxed it from the start, didn’t they? It's a hilarious read with hindsight. Some of my favourites: - "Stop being silly Boro won't finish 24th" "Mags Out of Business" "The mags will never ever ever ever ever ever ever EVER finish mid table this season. You people have to stop with this shit." I liked this one, when replying to one of our lot who had the audacity to say we would finish 16th: "Daft thing is we'd probably still beat your side of mainly championship standard plodders". Hehe we have 7 more points than them from 10 fewer games in a much much much tougher league, yeah pretty confident we have a better side like Edit: Oops, just saw Bhoy's message, sorry, giggs emoji. Edit again: Just gone through the whole thread, they bumped it again in February page 5 and they were still convinced we were going down, one has us relegated in 17th spot somehow

Yep two absolute legends of the game, a night not to be missed.

There will be a churn of the squad this off season, we've got to improve our production line, sounds like it's going to be a focus for Rafa if he signs a new long term contract. Sad fact though, since Shearer and perhaps Carrick, the city and area around it has not produced world class talent, it's not just lacking at the very top but across the board, there are not that many Geordies playing at a high level, hell the Mackems have produced more than us recently. It's obvious then that we've not been missing out on talent that's under our noses like we did in the past, because it's not there. We have to cast our net out further to compete, our squad is paper thin, it's not been exposed this season too much because of the excellent fitness record and Rafa's careful management of players play time. But we can't expect every season to work out like this one and we don't have the resources to do what Chelsea and Man City do to fill out their squads with the best young talent in the world.
-
Likely to be our only player at the World Cup, if we don't sell him before. Kind of sad considering the season we've had.
-
His form dipped badly apparently not sure if he's recovered since. We may have dodged a bullet there.
-
His fuck up against us lead to that wonderful counter attack goal for Kenedy. Looks like he should be a good player, but every time I've seen him, he's been somewhat disappointing.
-
Yep crazy how much difference a year makes, I was saying to a non NUFC supporting friend at the beginning of the season how Lascelles was probably our 4th best CB. Back then I had them Clark, Mbemba, the unknown Lejueue, and Lascelles. Clearly the injury he picked up last season hampered him much of the champo season, because he's been 10 times the player he was then.

I remember that Stoke game, was class viewing. Yes it was, 5-1 in the end right ? Remember Hughes was livid got sent off too, complained about the Ref of course after the game. But both players fully deserved their reds that day.
-
We've had one penalty all season and missed that, thanks Joselu !! Still can't believe the stat about opposing teams not having a player sent off against us, that one defies all logic.
-
I don't think it's any coincidence that struggling teams like Sunderland can't keep their players fit while teams in great form like ourselves boasts injury fee lists. When you are down there, fighting that batte every week, motivation to get yourself fit must be tough. What a disaster of a loan that Williams has been. They love Gooch down there and Asoro is the 2nd coming of Messi or something. I don't have a clue how good or bad Love is but all this can't help them at all, hope Burton finish the job on the weekend.
-
It's a shame there are no stats for starting a move that leads to a goal, because he makes so many of those defence splitting balls, yet he's only been credited with 2 assists on the season or something like that. Perez's goal on Sunday once again doesn't happen with his vision to play in Gayle.

What's their new line to justify why Rafa isn't very good, he spent 90 million and Net spend has no bearing whatsover.... It's a new excuse every minute with that lot.
-
You know people are now fevourishly check all your recent posts to pop in "Howay Yorkie" to the corresponding thread.

Howay Yorkie, Rafa would make good players of a handful from Southampton. Redmond? Bertrand? James Ward-Prowse? Shaquiri (sp) would be class, if Rafa could get him grafting. I would hate Shaqiri at our club tbh, not because he's not talented because obviously he is. Not because his work rate isn't there, because for Rafa you aren't going to play if you don't work hard. But there was one incident in the West Ham game just before they scored I think, someone passed the ball to him and he moved it on to someone else and told that player with arm singles where to play it, it didn't go in that direction, and Shaqiri's was like a petulant little kid for the next minute or so, berating the other player with hand jestures and stomping feer, as they struggled to create an opening. Think that incident summed him up perfectly, he would be a cancer for our wonderful team spirit. And from all accounts Shawcross has declined considerably this year, he's 30 now , I wouldn't bother can find better products to mold for a much cheaper price. Redmond, Betrand and Ward-Prowse would all be interesting options but will probably command fees greater than their real value.
-
We are going to be in the market for a centre back, one or both of Mbemba and Clark will go. One player I think we could get is Kurt Zouma. He's not had a great season with Stoke by all accounts and Chelsea could be tempted to cash in on him. Think he's the perfect type that Rafa can work with and out his rough edges and bring out the natural talent there.

The gif would we so appropriate for the Mackem thread, I imagine that very reaction on practically every thread on RTG

Just finished watching, was a little bit behind, after going through my usual morning workout. Great result again, it was just so comfortable in the end, totally nullified Arsenal, terrific all round display, two excellent goals and three points.
-
Luckily they are still in a fight for auto, it is the kind of game Sunderland have been doing well in though, they got a point at Wolves FFS. If they go to the last game needing a win, I thik they will get it against a Wolves team that will already have wrapped up the title by then. But liek I said previously, it'll be all academic if somehow both Bolton and Brum pick up 3 points more from somewhere.

Mitro is slow as a boat man, and couldn't score for us to save his life. Just not good enough for us! Yeah that's all kinds of wrong.
