  1. It's good news for the club, no matter if he puts a penny in or not. A owner that's losing money in his other ventures is much more jumpy and less tolerant. For me, he's had a good 6 or 7 months, thought he backed his manager well in the Jan window and I'm hopeful, despite his ham fisted attempts at PR, that we'll get the players in we need this summer.

    Dan Gosling

I have to say, I paid litterally no attention to the premiership last season, therefore I have little knowledge on the lad. The injury is a concern but he's young enough to get over it, best of luck to the lad, not much of a gamble for us, and should be available at a time when the team will probably need a freshening up.
  3. The netherlands is such a fucking long name and doesn't flow in practically any conversation, Holland is much better, just get over it dutchies and move on Hell you have no idea how often North Americans refer to England as just London, that's much more annoying.

    Sunderland...

We had already signed Routledge at the time we were after him, Best is what we got instead of him
  5. Ben Arfa is the epitome of a FM wonderkid, can't say I've seen much of him irl but would probaly be a huge signing for us, hopefully there's some truth in this one.

    Sunderland...

That'll be good for us, hope they do, wonder if that kid from Crystal Palace is regretting joining them ahead of us yet.
  7. Like the sound of the Hooper deal, young and at the right price. Fits the mould.

    Sunderland...

Sounds like a lot of wishful thinking in this thread. I probably had more time for Bramble, when he was with us, than most did. Always thought he had all the tools to be a top quality centre half, of course his concerntration level is what let him down time and again. But however much you hated him and and hate the mackems, you can not deny he's been on the whole pretty solid for Wigan, still prone to the odd error though. I think age has helped him mature a bit and improved him as a player. I hope he falls flat on his face and his old concerntration level issues return when he's back at a big club but if there was ever a player destined to score at SJP, in that horrible shirt of theirs, it's Bramble, just like he did last time he played there.
  9. Yeah he was one of my favourites too, rumours though at the time about him and KK's wife and other wives, not sure if they were true, but can't really complain too much about Varadi's replacement, Beardsley.
  10. The point of an all white third strip is missed on me, when will we ever need to wear it ? Outside of clear marketing tricks like at Carlisle, i can't see this one getting an airing. Suppossed it'll be used in cups, the marketeers are probably hoping to avoid away ties at the likes of Leeds and Bolton.
  11. There's being not PC and there's being uneducated fucking stupid and that chant is the latter.

    Jermaine Jenas

Funny but WTF did she mean when she said "Jenas couldn't even hack it a Newcastle United" we were a bigger and better team than them at the time we sold him.
  13. I had no idea who this Moat guy was until I kept seeing his name on the chronicle website, read a few accounts of what happened, can't believe there are people that regard this guy as some sort of hero, ashamed to be from the same part of the world as some people. If people are singing about him, like that story suggests at matches then it's a disgrace and we should be ashamed of ourselves. Of course we need to consider the source, the Star. It may just be a mionority of charva scum but those are the ones that the Sky cameras will portray as sterotypical Geordies.
  14. Can't believe Tom Cruise is now playing football and he's under 19 years of age, seems to have been around forever, i'm not sure how he manage to star in Top Gun, in the 80's.
  15. I'm confident enough that we'll survive. My expectations are no higher than mere survival though atm.

    Xisco's back

Would love to think that he would start to justify the price we paid for him, but the reality is, he proabably won't, best we can hope for is a swift exit and that some sucker gives us some money back for him.
  17. YES, YES, YES !!!!! WTF are the dutch complaining about, nothing wrong with the goal at all.
  18. Taking your shirt off is a bit daft really, especially when it's a guaranteed yellow. daft rule though He just scored a goal that's won the world cup, I think I my own shirt off here at home.
  19. Nerve wracking but pretty awful game of football, my heart was in my mouth a couple of times through Robben. I still pissed at Ramos for missing that free header. Come on no pens please.
  20. Who does? Germany should have been here. The yellow on Mueller was harsh, considering Di Maria didn't get one for his. Germany were well beaten, no reason why they should be there at all.
  21. Great save Iker, but really Robben should have scored
  22. We started well , but let the dutch get into it and the game's become totally scrappy, he has to change things up a little, I can see Holland nicking a goal, mind you so could Spain. It's a pootr advert for the game atm.
  23. Got to say it's awful at the moment.
  24. I don't care what type of game we get as long as Spain wins, I was hoping for a Spain England final, that way I couldn't lose, and if England had only won their group, that really could have happend, stupid Rooney missing that sitter, Green gifting the US a goal, and bloody Landon Donavan. Anyway I'm more confident about the final than I was about the semi, I'm not sure that's a good thing. Howard fucking Webb is the ref, can't wait for that twat to ref a game at St James' next year, can't believe he's got a world cup final.
