OK, my mistake. I wouldn't wait for HTT to start something though, as I dont think he has the same energy, motivation and persuasive powers he did have during the Hitzfeld campiagn. Do you suggest any other person togive us some sort of leadership on this. I think it is really important to voice some new ideas and suggestive ideas with the new board.

the back four should be Taylor Faye Beye Nzogbia Milner Butt Barton Emer Oba Viduka
-
I didn't ask for Hitzfeld I said we need similar kind of campaign to address all our issues and concerns.

I actually think that if Ashley could get what he believes is a better manager, then he just would anyway, since Allardyce isn't his appointment. If he could attract a world class manager then he just would without even firing Sam first. At the moment I don't think we can because it is seen as an impossible job, mid table club, but you never know Ashley might have a surprise then it won't matter what we think anyway. What you say about having a football person on the board is true though. I think Mort mentioned he was going to get "more management in" whatever that means, but I think there is another thread somewhere about telling them what you want to suggest. It is a good point. I was wondring instead of boo the manaager why can't we make more responsive suggestion at games thrugh banners and voice we can ask about DOF kinda person for the club. I really like the Hitzfeld idea and the whole campign the problem at that time was Shpered and his brothers weren't intersted to listein to the board but the new guys are open for new things it is just we are not comiing with new ideas. Part of the problem is HTT didn't hink we need chnage at the momment he is the only one who can galvanized a champign and he thinks Sam is the best for us right so we are just following him.

People think S*** I belive the Ashley take over prompt we can have an abramovisque effect to our club but yet we are comparing ourselves with our pathetic last year performance. The club is asking us to provide a good suggestion all I want to tell them is to have a footballing person in the bored aka Kenyon who knows how the football market works then pursue high standard manager and players. Thats what high standard is for me but if they want to be a second tier team they can stick with Sam and over time we can be like Everton not spectacular but just above average.

The Times today speculated that the players have turned on Allardyce
EthiGeordie replied to KaKa's topic in Football
You have a good point and we agood run on the holiday season might put us in a good position and it is up for grab. All at this club though have to go to the same direction. A strong January off of the field shape up our season. -
I don't know the team I bet big sam doesn't know either but I want Smith out of the side I wish he injured himself pretty bad. If we win though we will be in pretty shape I really miss the test of victory.

We still haven't replaced Bellamy, Robert, Solano and Dyer
EthiGeordie replied to a topic in Football
Do we have to replace them? I mean different managers have different ideas those players are suited for Sir Bobby ideas and they are not good enogh for other managers. The other managers we have didn't get a chance implement or play their own players. -
It's absolutely crucial we stick by Sam during this period.
EthiGeordie replied to Parky's topic in Football
Either way we can't judge Sam right now we were 14th when he came and we are 11th right now so no matter what we say thats an improvment and we have to give him more time. I am not disapponted with the long ball and false tacticts but I am more disappointed we sign lots of defenders yet stiill we leake goals for fun. No matter what he should have made us more solid and it is not happening at the moment. No matter what we have to wait until the summer make a good assessment and then decide what we can do with different manager. Unless we can bring in CL winning manger with extra caliber we might as well stick with Big sam. -

The Times today speculated that the players have turned on Allardyce

The Sun Steven Howard Already the last roll of Dyce NEVER have Newcastle fans turned on a boss as quickly as they have Sam Allardyce. Big Sam is in big trouble — and it’s difficult to see where he goes from here. He originally said it would take three years to turn the club round but, in football these days, you simply don’t get that sort of time. Everywhere you look there are massive problems. He’s a manager who likes to build from the back and yet all the defenders he has bought in — with the possible exception of David Rozehnal — have, so far, failed to adapt. It’s the same with Joey Barton and Alan Smith, who cost £12million between them. Communication breakdown There are just too many similar players in midfield, all one-paced and without the legs to get round the pitch. It also seems there is a communication breakdown between the manager and Michael Owen. A newspaper with which Owen has close links claimed on Saturday there was “unease in the dressing room” and that senior players were “at odds with the manager.” Yet it will be a little difficult to flog your star striker in the transfer window — probably the best outcome for both parties — when there are so many doubts about his fitness. Then you come to the board. Mike Ashley may have a few bob but he’s still only released about £10m — £23m spent on new players and £13m recouped on Kieron Dyer and Scott Parker. And just how hands-on is he? When is he actually seen, apart from in his black and white shirt on matchdays? Then there’s the “chairman”, the deathlike-sounding Chris Mort. He’s another absent landlord, doing little more than providing a couple of soundbites every month. It’s all enough to give Freddy Shepherd a good name. The fans have already had quite enough, their only comfort coming from the fact both Middlesbrough and Sunderland are in an even worse state of repair. Lucky draw Yet that’s not the point. Expecting to see the new boss cement a place in the top six they have, instead, watched in horror as Newcastle have managed just one point out of a possible 12 — and that was a lucky draw at the Stadium of Light. They have scored just three in four games — two of them own goals and the other a fluke from James Milner. Now they face a trip to Blackburn followed by the visit of Premier League leaders Arsenal. Should they stretch their recent run to one point from 18, Allardyce’s position could well be untenable. Yes, there have been injuries but that cannot explain the type of football served up. Following the 4-1 home thrashing by Portsmouth, Geordie fans turned on Allardyce again on Saturday as Liverpool cruised to a 3-0 win that could easily have been 6-0. They couldn’t understand his team selection — why, for a start, was Milner omitted? And they were further dumfounded by some of his substitutions. The trouble with Allardyce is that so much was expected of him. Linked with the club for the last two or three years, Newcastle fans were hoping for a quick fix. This just hasn’t materialised. Then there’s his contract — £9m over three years. Plus he also has a huge back-up staff. They’d also have to go. There have been tough times up on Tyneside in the last few seasons. Incredibly, they could be getting even worse. -

so who are the senior players at this club? -
I voted yes and Thanks Kev to come up with this, I was thinking about it all day long. We played good football and played to win under Roader the only problem with Roader is he is not a class manger and we needed to have a world class manager yet we replaced him with another British manager with different style. unless we come up with a world class manager we won't go far. At the end of the tunnel though we have Ashely and surely he will get it right when the opportunity to replace Sam rise.
-
His best position is Central Defender him and Faye will be formidable.
-
Absoulutly correct thats why our midfilders were so deep in the first half. After we conceded there were no plan B.
-
I think the heat is on Big Sam and Mort, I think we should still give Sam time if we don't have some one with big name (CL winning manager) having said this we are awefull and we need to chnage things dramaicllly the way Sam makes his subs and formation are a joke. Something needs to be address and it should be fast. One thing it really surprises me is why people says we need to give him time. Wenger morurniho and bentize made instance success and we need that sort of manager to be successful.
-
I don''t think he is wanted at the FA so he should concentrate and do something good at Newcastle then may be then they might look at it again.
-
At least they tried our former chairman was not willing to talk to Hitzfeld when many of us plead with him and he offer the job to Roeder. Thats ambtion...

Couple of weeks with out Owen at the moment would be a blessing in disguise.

3 past NUFC players who would transform the current team?
EthiGeordie replied to fredbob's topic in Football
1, Beardsley surely number one and we could have dona a lot better with his presence 2, Shearer 3, Ferdinand I really miss that majic partnership thy have with Shearer -
I am Newcastle fun first and foremost and the cap thing will restrain ourself as well imagin our lining up. Given Beye Faye Rozy Enrique N' zogbia Emre Germi Duff Viduka Martins No Englishman in this line up and inorder to close the gap to the big teams we still needs to sign top quality foreign player at least for the next couple of years.

Shocking claim from Patini he doesn't know a thing about things here in America. There is MLS and all that stuff and there is no 15 minutes break how can he persume this if it is true? The guy can't run a kiosk let alone a football governing body.
-
Well I really like Robson and the side he produce again and again starting Italia 90. The best England team in my genration. I thank him to bring back our pride here at Newcastle as well. A true legend I hope the current managment team do something to appreciate his role.
