  1.

It's a self esteem problem. These are the same people who stick in shitty relationships because they don't believe they're worth better, or that they'd never find anyone better.

You're so right. You've definitely nailed it.

It's the dudes that will stick with the worst person, who treats them like crap, because they believe it's what they deserve and can do no better.

    Pretty tragic stuff.

  2. I've come to the conclusion that some people just want more out of life than others do.

I haven't been able to watch match of the day properly in over a year now, because it's too annoying watch most other teams looking so good, and then comparing it to the putrid stuff we serve up.

You're sitting there watching the likes of Hull, Swansea, Southampton, WBA, Crystal Palace and Stoke play football that actually produces some moments of excitement, while we just slog through every match hoping to hang on to one goal leads, if we manage to get a lead of course. Otherwise we just concede and then lose.

Anyone who thinks this is fine, really does have some kind of serious problem. I will never understand it. This has been going on for ages now. Game after game of absolute nonsense. I'm amazed anyone can stick up for the guy. In a way I admire that level of crazy I really do. It's astounding.

  3. Pardew genuinely does not know how to do both attacking football and even attacks in general

So we need to stop saying this actually, because it implies that he knows how to do defensive football. In reality he knows nothing about football, and doesn't get anything right. We are not good at any one part of football. Except looking inept and losing games. That we really do excel at.

Forgot about that article, Sid Lowe is always great when writing about our league.

At times of crisis, people spend money to see us play: we've got a responsibility to play nice football, otherwise what the hell are they spending their money for?

If, as well as being small, you're a coward, you're going to get a beating from all sides

    :sadnod:

Those are two fantastic quotes. This sports thing is actually supposed to be entertainment, and it amazes me how many managers don't feel it is their responsibility to produce a side that is pleasing to watch. Bunch of cretins man. That second quote  in particular is great, and so apt. It basically summarizes Pardew perfectly. An absolute coward in every respect, even against sides much smaller than ours he's a coward. Bigging up Gillingham for goodness sake. Gillingham.

  5. We are so damned unlucky, or cursed maybe ...

The number of injuries in the last week, are enough for this Neanderthal to hide behind, and get support from the media from now. Absolutely terrified that this will afford him more time than he would otherwise have got all things considered.

    Deeply depressing.

  6. Although Pardew will use this as an excuse, and eventhough some might say the media will eat it up, I think this time, Pardew is in deep s***. He could have got away using the 'injury' excuse or 'we don't have our strongest lineup available' excuse before this, but this time, if the team don't get the results and especially lacking goals, his decision to let HBA leave as well as not getting a striker in, will make the media definitely question his decisions.

Yep, especially if Ben Arfa impresses for Hull. Which he will.

We really need that to happen to a ridiculous extent actually. We need everyone to be asking why on Earth Pardew let him go. And also to be talking up Bruce's ability to manage him. It will make Pardew look a right moron.

  7. Really worried that this keeps Pardew around longer. The snake will push this as a reason for the awful football and losses that are going to be piling up, which the media will no doubt help him spout too. It's another "we've lost Cabaye" fiasco.

  8. From the Lovenkrands article:

"The main thing when I was there was always to get the defending right- then we'll score at the other end".

 that bit cracked me up. I've always thought that was Pardews thinking.

    1- defend

    2- defend some more

    3- ?

    4- goal scored

    5- win 1-0

Found the article and that bit in particular infuriating. All these years of mostly defensive work, and we've never looked a solid unit anyway.

  9. I remember him knocking Benteke on his are after going shoulder to shoulder. His weakness was aerial.

Yup, but I'm not going to argue about it anymore. That dude was a hell of an athlete. Quick and strong. Just indecisive with aerial balls, and a lot of the time it was more his initial positioning, and also letting the ball bounce, rather than attacking the ball.

  10. AP: “Siem - wasn’t a true reflection of him. He wasn’t match fit, we played him because he might have that one bit of quality." #nufc

    So desperate.

GRRRRR!!!!!  That man does my fukin nonce in so he does!!!  The "pardew" way.  Play for the nil-nil and hope for that 'one bit of quality' cos that's what's needed to unlock Crystal f**kin' palace's defence!!

That one bit of quality. What a pathetic approach to life. I feel sorry for the wife. I doubt she's being satisfied.

  11. The Colo to Argentina thing did reek of having had enough of things. The Jonas exclusion also seems like there's a problem there too.

Having read that wouldn't be surprised if it's Sammy, as he has suddenly been pushed to the side a bit, for no apparent reason.
