Never looked like he was going to miss once he was through.
Could have scored another if he hit it first time, after a great cut back from Obertan.
-
Oh yeah, for sure. We're not going to buy another central defender.
-
currently playing for the reserves against Barnsley and according to Skirgey on twitter has missed a pen, we were losing 3-2 according to Lee Ryder
Great ... fat and bad at penalties. Deplorable.

Leon Best to Derby
Ah! Good for him. Good team to play for at the minute, as McClaren has them performing well. I'll be rooting for them in the Championship.
-
How many Clements do they need?!
-
Eto'o's still got it but if they're after him it shows they are running out of ideas.
I think he'd do well there, got some very important goals last season for Chelsea
He'd have no motivation there. He'd not do a thing for them.
-
Eto'o would be a terrible signing. What on Earth are they playing at this summer.
-
Man, have these guys bought anyone?! Really thought they'd back Gus Poyet. Seems not.
They've had a shocking summer so far. Season's a couple of weeks away!

I know
Reverse whooshed.

I'm really excited for this guy. Actually think Pardew will like him. The guy's work rate was really good. Even when he first came on in the number 10 role, he was getting back and constantly pressing the other team, which continued when he moved out wide.
Pardew will find it very difficult to deny us this guy's talents due to his obsession over defensive effort.
-
Wow ... sounds very promising. Wish we had him on board now.
-
Might just work.

Pardew would be absolutely thrilled with that.

We're not gonna be playing 55-3-2 man
I doubt anyone will, as it isn't allowed.
-
I would imagine Cabella could also slot in behind De Jong and one of Riviere/Ferreyra as an alternative.
It would be interesting, and we'd have different options, however, as the article states it would definitely be more of a 5-3-2 rather than a 3-5-2, which would be revolting.

MirrorFootball understands that Newcastle have told the Argentine he may be used as part of a strike pairing, with Alan Pardew considering following the trend of a switch to 5-3-2, and this is far more likely to get the best out of him than operating with him as a lone forward.
-
Ferreyra is best-known as ‘Chucky’ for his likeness to the diabolical film character when he was a child, but unlike the murdering doll, the forward works better in a pair.

Absolutely ghastly.

Hmmm ... having Coloccini around for this guy will be key then. Hope he does well. Didn't see too much of the ball yesterday, as things got a bit muddled with all of the subs. Liked that he was harrying though, which led to our third.

Woah ... okay, time to reel it in now.
-
Nah, defenders and goalies tend to come out okay, and can't really be ruined by the likes of Stuart Pearce.

You know how a CB can make a mistake, and still get bailed out by another defender, or the keeper, or the striker then goes on to miss the chance? It seemed like Titus didn't have as much luck is what I meant. He seemed to me to have a disproportionate amount of his errors lead to goals. It seemed a rather unfortunate knack.
He made those mistakes as well.
The point is that he made mistakes where it wasn't like it 'lead' to a goal, he would make mistakes that resulted in things like one on ones or penalties where it was pretty obvious that the opposition would score.
It was just a total mess.

I remember one glaring pass back, which was way short and the striker just strolled on to it and scored.
I remember seeing his body shape as he was about to make the pass, and I started screaming "NO TITUS, NO!!!"
As he passed it he actually ended up flat on his back, such was his poor body shape when he went to pass.
Man ... so frustrating. Always looked so sad after each error too. Used to feel for him a bit

Man City must love these guys. How much did they get off them for Adam Johnson? And now Rodwell too? No way Rodwell should still command such a fee, it's preposterous! The man has done nothing at City.
