  1. Giving him credit also stems from this idea that football transfers are so incredibly difficult to conduct. They're really not, as evidenced by the amount that are done every year, by every club in the world. The concept of giving some background money man kudos for something really tough didn't exist until this mob rocked up.

It's a line they peddle when they're not at risk of impending doom and therefore don't want to spend any money, and some people are daft enough to fall for it.

We are signing good players by the sounds of it. I doubt many would collectively swap our new signings for those from most other clubs this summer.

Most other clubs hadn't neglected their squad like we had.

This is why they find it so easy to sell players in January, because after five months getting battered every week, they can sign in summer instead and everyone queues up to w*** them off, like they've done us a favour.

Like giving credit to someone for doing a big shop after they've let the kids starve for a month.

On the "good players" point, aye ok, let's see how good they are after a year with the c***. If they're anything like Moussa Sissoko, most people will say they're s***.

It's definitely a messed up situation.

I'm just relieved, because even though we had to buy this summer. I still didn't necessarily trust them to.

Definitely not a cause for celebrating them that's for sure.

  2. We had to invest for sure, but I still can't believe that if Kinnear was still involved we would have signed all the players we have. For that I am simply relieved.

  3. Not that I'm unhappy with signing him I'm just a bit suspicious that if he does well for us then someone else will come in for him. That's why we should be signing players not loaning them.

  4. Quite sceptical about this, we rarely seem to sign a player without scouting them thoroughly and I highly doubt we've had scouts over in the Ukraine and Argentina in the past few years.

Still, I'd be happy if it did happen although would still like to see Remy come through the door.

Our interest goes back to 2011 apparently. When he was still in Argentina. There were a number of links with him then.

  5. We supposedly had a fee agreed for Remy and that wouldn't have been worth a w*** had the Liverpool deal gone through.

It's the same old thing, we're terrified of spending on strikers.

    This is true ...

However, Remy was always looking for bigger and better things, and is pretty established. Can't see this guy pulling a similar stunt if he does well here.

I'm sure we also did this so we could potentially negotiate the fee down, if he does okay, and we still want to sign him, but for less.

  6. If we rate him, why not buy him?

He's still young, and has only recently moved to Europe, and so I would imagine it's just a bit of caution. Never really mind a loan, as long as that option for a permanent move is included.

  7. Good news to start the weekend.

Ferreyra is now set to head to the North East after Newcastle agreed a €2 million [£1.6m] loan fee with the option of making the deal permanent for a further €8m [£6.4m].

Niiiiiiiiice, really happy we've got another striker.

He's got a good reputation man. It's a really nice move initial loan with a few to a permanent. Class!
