  1. I remember being the next window guy back in 2009!

Did this dude just wake from a comma or something, what vibe is he on?!

    ,

Argh, done in by the grammar brigade!

Should really have an exclamation mark after the Argh and start a new sentence.

    :hmm: Thanks.

Dont know about a comma, but he certainly talks out of his colon.

I do feel for the guy though. His optimism is other worldly.

I vaguely remember being one of the positive guys.

Boy did they break me though. Geez.

  3. Arsenal can afford to not spend wildly in the transfer market, because they actually bother to invest the time and effort necessary in developing their youth players, who actually then go on to make a mark in their first team consistently. This comparison is absolutely ludicrous.

Our youth are never able to get a chance to play, because the current manager is terrified of winning games comfortably, and so there is no room for them to ever make appearances. Hence we will never know what they are really made of. Instead we will continue to ferry them off to league 2 and Scotland till they are completely broken, and have lost all sense of self worth.

When we were put in a situation where we absolutely had to play a youth player, guess what? He actually turned out to be petty handy, and surprised everyone who thought he wouldn't amount to much, and he ended up going for £35 million.

Pardew despite his claims cannot use young players, and so from the outset the plan to be like Arsenal falls flat on its arse and will never get off the ground.

  4. Hoddle would not stand for Pardew's horrific football that's for sure.

give over. he's an ultra cautious protect what you've got type manager who lambasts players for not being as technically gifted as he was.

I'm sure he's not perfect, but I'd rather that than a former brick layer, who detests players because they are more technical than he ever was.

  5. Have to say mind, funny how in this thread when Southampton play it's full of praise and ironic sarcasm about their style of play and stuff compared to Pardew, yet not too much from the same people having a go at Pochettino for today. That was a disgusting team selection & performance given where they are in the table.

It was a silly team selection no doubt. However, they still played better than we ever do, and they didn't get tonked 3-0 off of Sunderland like we now often do.

  6. After hailing Javier Mascherano and Carlos Tevez as "world class players" when they signed, he told friends he "wasn't sure if they are for us" within days of their full debuts in the 1-0 defeat against Palermo in the UEFA Cup.

    :mike:

  7. Sadly it was always going to end this way, Pardew has managed him very, very badly. Pardew is a hypocritical prick, other players can play s*** yet nothing is made of it, in fact he will praise them BUT Ben Arfa gets stick for not winning games in 10-15 minutes

Under a half decent manager Ben Arfa will be immense, just a shame it won't happen here

This is the thing! He actually praises Shola's performances time and time again, when everyone can see he's been terrible.

    How can anyone justify that?!

  8. I doubt it will be any different for him if he ends up at a club like Liverpool.

    Sat on the bench.

You know what, this move to Liverpool needs to happen.

It will put an end to this argument once and for all, as a good few feel he doesn't have much about him.

You want this move to happen because it may settle a score amongst the nufc fans?  I've heard it all now lol

He will get his chances at Lfc don't you worry about that.  Until Rogers get p*ssed off and loses patience with him just like every manager that had managed him.

Nah, didn't mean it to come across that way. At this point I am genuinely fascinated with this guy myself, to see if he can sustain a certain level and be a key player in a team.

I feel he would definitely do so under the right sort of manager, and in the right setup, but at the end of the day he has never achieved it yet, and some people feel he can't.

He's a fantastic talent though, and I want to see the guy play. He clearly won't play while he's here, so no point wanting that to happen anymore.

  10.

Thinking cynically me thinks he'll be on a packet. STOP BANK...yadda yadda

I think the truth is he's a salable asset entering the last year of his contract. We were always going to sell this summer.

True, despite the fauxness of contract talks.

It'll be interesting to see where he goes. Could be anywhere.

    He'll go to Liverpool IMHO

Well they missed out on Salah on the Ukranian winger in January.

Could see it happening. It won't be fun to watch.
