  1. He was out for a bit and so think he's just a bit off the pace at the minute. He'll come back into it. Did well to switch the ball to the other sid to Targett in the lead up to the first goal. He'll bb alright.

  2. The profile looks right up our street.

Didn't quite work out at Barca when he was young and coming along now at Nice, and so a lot of clubs are second guessing and are uncertain.

This has been our golden ticket so far. The price is in that range we have been operating in and he's a big talent that is not quite enough of a certainty for the typical bigger clubs.

Fantastic profile of player for Howe to sharpen up and once again every one will be left dumbfounded in a year's time.

Surely we'd have done that last summer? I'd love him to be able to do it, I'm just not sure. If he was happy to take a Wilson type role at the club then brilliant, but can't see that at his age when he could play every week for a counter-attacking team..

Every person's body is different with this sort of thing. Some people need to do extra work to condition their bodies for such a high intensity style of play and I think he's one of those that neds it. He should be doing some additional gym work to strengthen the muscle groups that are really given him issues.

Don't think just doing the same set programme that is generally being given to the team is going to suffice.

  4. Tarkowski is such a meat head man. Hate his reaction at the end there, as if he would have done any better

Godfrey's reaction just beside him is priceless, actually felt bad for him and all the others  that got rinsed to be honest. Isak was just on one ... once he was in full flight they were all toast ;D

He's been really trying to get on board the Howe train IMO, maybe his body just can't take the strain.

I'd probably give him a full pre-season working on strength and stability etc. But even as I'm typing that I'm wondering whether it will really make any difference :/

He needs this badly. He is not conditioned well enough for the football we play.

Look at the shape of Keanes body in that picture man [emoji38]

His head arms and legs are all facing different directions [emoji38]

Guy had been put in the torture chamber ;D

Been hearing a lot about how bad the defending was. Are they not seeing the speed at which he was changing directions and stopping and starting suddenly?! It was brutal

I’d love to know which other clubs had taken interest in him and for whatever reason not pulled the trigger. They must be kicking themselves now.

Arsenal are the most culpable. They'd been linked with him loads.

Been checking other forums this morning and the rave reviews about Isak are something else. RAWK describing it as one of the best runs ever to Arsenal Mania describing him as a young Thierry Henry. We got a VERY special talent at our club.

    Links please! :D

That season of "failure" has probably landed us one of the world's biggest talents of the coming era. It's like all the years of pain under Mike Ashley were forging us for this. We'd never have been able to buy him at any other time.

Yeah, seemed destined to be honest.

On top of that, if Wilson doesn't go down injured early doors, we also don't push the boat out for him like we did.

He's so good I'm embarrassed to have him. Like we skipped the build and got a galactico.

Wat a f*cking player. A beautiful watch before you even get to the productivity.

It is too satisfying having him man, while everyone else was fumbling around second guessing because of one season's goal record. He was right there for everyone else to grab, same as it was with Bruno.

I love what the recruitment team is doing and we just need to continue in this same manner. Lets keep getting these types that can really make their name at Newcastle as elite footballers.

The elite clubs in Europe slept on this man. And we got him at the right time. Don’t care if I get laughed at, I think this lad is one of the top 5 forwards in the world.

One of my good friends is an Arsenal fan and he is dying right now, when they were getting linked loads I told him that he'd be amazing at Arsenal and he kept going on about his goal scoring record in Spain that last season.

I tried to tell him with the more open game here he would run riot and he wasn't having it ;D

To my shock we then got him towards the end of the window and I told him he was going to be sick once Isak got going. He is suffering right now man!

I reckon he could play off the left, you know?

Up top, left, right, and behind the striker.

He's a complete modern day striker. Get him the ball in a bit of space and terrible things are going to happen to the opposition.

Can't lie it was quite annoying when people were arguing that he couldn't play as a wide forward when we first got him. He is terrifying with the ball at his feet in those areas.
