Their press is very good, but we're taking too many touches. If we quicken our play they'll be in big trouble. So much space behind.

It's somewhat fitting with all the Kelly slander leading up to this.

Botman man. My God.

That's why it wasn't given. Decision made sense to me.

This Pedro Porro is pathetic man.

Lovely ball through and a great finish.

That Spurs team man. Wow. Hope we can get at them early and often and put them away quickly, and not mess around.

A bit on how the financial situation is coming along. https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-profit-five-years-transfers-3461243

Read somewhere it's contingent on Pope returning without any setbacks before the window closes, and then it will go through, otherwise he won't leave.

This is exactly how these so called big clubs and their fan bases actually look at things. Their egos get in the way! A lot of times they won't just look at the quality of the player and trust the scouting info and data their recruitment teams spend so much time pulling together. It has to be a 'big name' that other 'big clubs' are after. It's exactly why they passed on both Bruno and Isak despite being linked with them so much prior to us making a move in both instances. Long may it continue. Now their fans are all over the place screeching for the club to spend big on the likes of Isak, Kudus and Cunha. Absolute mugs man.

Winding up that Muppet at Palace!

Oh! That's interesting. Mentioned the other day I was hoping we'd give Mcatee a good look. Fits in very well with the sort of player Howe has done so well with in Gordon, Hall and Tino over the last couple of seasons. His profile is the sort of number 10 that can cut in from the right side that people have been hoping for too. Could end up being another really savvy move.

PSR and FFP is going to screw them over too. They have more money and are also spending more, but that doesn't come with any guarantees. Man Utd have to sell to buy currently, due to their reckless spending. Theres only so long you can keep spending so much money so recklessly and that includes the staff they keep hiring and firing, like Ashworth, and not just the players!

I think the other Prem clubs have come a long way since then. There are hardly any more bottom of the barrel managers at these clubs like Pardew, Pulis, Bruce or Allardyce etc. Recruitment at these clubs has also improved massively. They are also now in position to charge extortionate fees if interest is shown in their players. I don't think this thing is going to work out like those so called cartel clubs envisioned. I think we are seeing it when we look at the table too.

It's never this straight forward. Cunha was underwhelming at Atletico. Time will tell. I think he'll be a good fit there.
-
As far as I can see the clubs with tighter restrictions have improved by getting better managers and coaching in, and are doing a better job with their recruitment. It's sharpening them. Meanwhile the clubs with all the money don't seem to be hitting the mark as often, if anything having that extra money seems to make them lazier in the market, or too risk averse. I'm not sure how well this whole thing is working out for them. Especially now PSR is making it harder to spend huge sums on multiple players.

Well we're going to do it and he's going to sign. Save your energy. Let them be the one's annoyed that they're not signing him.
-
There's salaries coming off the books at the end of the season. We're also looking far more likely to be in Europe. He'll get a new deal.
-
They are the one's so desperate and thirsty it's probably turning the guy off
-
They were linked with him so much before we bought him, and they bottled it. I know it just makes them all so sick! Oh well! All the voting against Newcastle means we're not doing anyone any favours and PSR means they really can't afford to shell out so much on one player now. Good times

We'll see. If he goes there I'm going to say he'll be a hit. Never really seemed to settle into an established role in the Dortmund team. I think he's such a good finisher when he's on it. So quick and comfortable on the ball too. For that fee can't see them having any regrets whatsoever.
