Article also states our interest in Nico Williams and Pedro Neto. Nice to be linked with RW regardless of anything else.

Article also says Olise has a release clause.

And that he is prioritising playing time for his next move, which increases our chances over some others.

I’d prefer Eze, his injury record isn’t much better though.

Already have players filling the roles he plays.

We need an Almiron upgrade on that right side.

Bayern sound like they don't have a fucking clue at the moment. De Zerbi, Lopetegui, Ragnick, Ten Haag [emoji38]

    I love it.

So happy Leverkusen showed them up this season and Alonso turned them down.

Really dislike the way they just look to hoover up talent from anyone that threatens them.

Hope they flop again next season.

The new guy is out of work though, they could have waited until the season finished

Other teams are after him though.

Bayern tried to speak to him as well, but he had already decided on West Ham.

Probably doesn't happen if they had been waiting around.

It is, hence me saying they are lucky he hasn't walked. I wouldn't be hanging around for a few weeks pay, fuck them.

Letting him know. That's nice. Like shepherd let SBR know he was letting him go in his last season, lost the dressing room due to it and had to sack him.

Completely the same, apart from Klopp wanting to leave.

That's fine, he should leave and make himself available and let them manage their club if he's not needed. The fact he hasn't walked and is just sniping is fair Imo, and what I said to begin with.

His contract is up so it doesn't matter if he wants to stay, if they don't want him and are ready for a change.

As long as they have let him know, then there's nothing wrong with them approaching replacements.

  6. 37 minutes ago, Dokko said:

Not sure why people are having a dig a moyes. He's being replaced against his will and the next manager lined up before he's finished. Wham are lucky he hasn't just walked away for the last few games and told them to go fuck themselves.

Players aren't going to play for him either knowing all this. No wonder he's pissed and swinging. Good on him.

His contract is up isn't it?

I'm sure they've let him know they're looking to make a change.

No different from Klopp already being replaced at Liverpool.

Waiting till the end of the season could see them miss out as other clubs are already approaching managers right now.

Somewhere between £20-25m would be my guess

This is how much Brentford paid for Nathan Collins!!!

Tosin's regular price if he still had years to run on his contract is £30-£35 million minimum.

Hmm, do you mean in terms of FFP? It's confirmed that Silva will leave after the season is finished.

Yeah, just as an expense in general. Having money tied up in 6 centre backs currently is extraordinary.

Silva leaving makes it 5, which is somewhat acceptable with Fofana's issues, but then adding another to take it back to 6 would be strange, but it is Chelsea and Boehly, so anything is possible.

If Chelsea are genuinely in for him then they'll probably get him tbh. He'll get a big, fat 6 or 7 year contract, join a much bigger club and continue to live in one of the best cities in the world. That's got to appeal to a rich young man

You know some athletes actually prioritise playing time on the pitch and a more quiet life off the pitch.

Even saw a clip where Rio of all people said part of the reason he went to Leeds was to get away from London, and all the distractions and people he grew up around.

  10. 8 minutes ago, Menace said:

He wouldn't even need to relocate if he moves to Chelsea. I can see the appeal to be honest.

If the decision is about not having to move house that would be ridiculous.

The initial reports stated he was leaning towards Newcastle because of the more clearly defined role in the team and working with Howe. That makes a lot more sense to me.

Silva is done. That might be why. Fofana has barely played for them. They still have good coverage though.. Seems like a machine gun approach where they think that buying in numbers means that some of them has to succeed.

They're both still on the books though, so it would be mental. Especially as they still have another 4 centre backs outside of those two still.

They don't seem to have a plan. If you join them you probably then get someone bought in ahead of you in a year again. Madness.

Be very surprised if he goes to Chelsea.

Dougie Freedman is very media shy from what I can tell so don’t get your hopes up

There'll still be a bunch of stuff that comes out giving a bit more detail on his credentials etc, which would be cool.

  13. Fofana, Disasi, Silva, Badiadshile, Colwill and Chalobah ...

Chelsea are such a crazy club man, really weird, if they're really looking at Tosin too.

  14. 4 hours ago, joeyt said:

Sorry but you got a British record transfer fee for him, you can't still be harking back to him when you're conceding 5 goals every game

It's the managers job to find solutions to injuries, suspensions etc never mind getting £100mil for one player which you can reinvest

This is a terrible look from Moyes man.

He spent a decent amount off the back of the Rice sale, and has got some decent players at the club.

So you can't manage the club effectively without Declan Rice?!

    Ridiculous.

I agree that hes not the best when its get though, but I wouldnt put the blame on him for letting the team down. Hes an attacking player and he did his job. Faes on the other side.

    Fair point.

Haven't been impressed with his drop off this season at all, so maybe tainting my view of him further.

  16. 4 minutes ago, nufc123 said:

Almost double figures in both assists and goals that season.

Similar to this season, started well then faded second half of the season.

They took a lot of losses around March/April time and he wasn't good.

Pretty sure I remember it being discussed at the time.

  17. 6 minutes ago, nufc123 said:

    ??

Was very poor second half of last season while they were struggling.

As the key man, doesn't seem to be able to step up when the going gets tough.

  18. So Maddison has really been flat out dropped from this Spurs team? That is pretty damning.

A lot of fuss was made about us not signing him at the time, but here he is once again letting his team down in key moments. Going to ultimately cost Spurs the top 4, just like he let Leicester down last season, and cost them their Premier League place.

  19. Ever since Enzo has been out of the Chelsea team, they have been rolling.

Meanwhile the popularly mocked Gallagher and Jackson are putting in performances.

Really hope Enzo comes back in soon, and Chelsea cool off, because they are right on our tail.

Man United going on an awful run would be great too. God if we could beat them and knock them out of Europe man. Please God!

Also way too assume he wouldn’t- always looked good at Chelsea and burn looks much better at CB than left back so those games we were leaking goals and dropping points, well who knows.

The people seeing him everyday in training have made the call. He's come in at the right time. Far less pressure as it's been due to injuries.

If he had come in for Burn there would have been more weight on his shoulders, and had he struggled the same people calling for him would have been on his back about the fee, not being good enough etc. we all know how that goes.
