    On this day...

I love seeing vids of bairns walking into SJP and seeing the pitch and ground for the first time and looking around and being genuinely amazed!
  2. Twelve weeks today gambling-free for me - it needed to be done! I'm buzzing that I've never even been tempted which has absolutely amazed me with how much I was betting! Good luck to you gamblers though! SMASH THE BASTARDS!
  3. Worst run for 18 years - crackers!
  4. PSG away for City next - in big trouble!
  5. Davey Carson has just signed for them as well - great signing for them!
  6. I can't see us binning him if we beat Brentford next week but then again Spurs sacked Mourinho just before a final never mind semi finals!
  7. Few NUFC related things from Atheltic article; The signs of disharmony were detectable at the very moment that Ashworth would have been expected to prove his worth. In searching for a replacement for Erik ten Hag as manager, Ratcliffe wanted to hear ideas from the man he had sanctioned spending around £2.5million ($3.2million) to bring in from Newcastle United due to his expertise at building structures. Ashworth, it is claimed, did not provide clear, compelling arguments for who to bring in. Advertisement Instead, there was a list and those he did propose had a theme: Premier League experience. Suggestions included Eddie Howe, despite the picture not always being rosy at Newcastle United; Marco Silva, the Fulham head coach; and Thomas Frank, the Brentford head coach. Graham Potter was another name mentioned by Ashworth, possibly as an interim until the end of the season. Ratcliffe wanted more decisiveness and a dynamic appointment, someone with a certain charisma who was capable of shouldering the enormous responsibility and scrutiny that comes with leading one of the world’s biggest clubs. Ashworth oversaw all the summer signings, which included some influence from Ten Hag. Ashworth was tasked with making things work with Ten Hag and sanctioned the signings of Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt, two preferences for the manager, among a spend of around £200million. Joshua Zirkzee, who moved to United in the summer from Serie A side Bologna, was seen as more of a club-led transfer. He had been on Newcastle’s list of potential transfers at the start of the year. Ashworth has expressed to people a feeling of working in a highly pressurised environment and suggested he may not have left Newcastle had he known Amanda Staveley would subsequently depart. Howe’s strong relationship with Staveley, at the time a Newcastle minority shareholder and director, had been built before Ashworth’s arrival at the club and the Newcastle manager had always had a direct dialogue with her, so did not go via Ashworth.
  8. Absolute joke VAR and the officials
  9. Justice but how on earth was that not a pen?! 2-1 West Ham now
  10. Another few ha has from me! Hillarious and much needed after yesterday!
  11. I’d rather sell any other player than Isak - he’s sensational and strikers like him are worth their weight in gold! Agree about the shitty PSR rules - total joke for the likes of us and Villa
  12. Is it just me or does he seem to always score at the Leazes end?! Can barely recall the knee slide at the Gallowgate?! Only two off top of my head I can recall are the delightful lob v Villa last season and last minute winner v Fulham the season before!

Dear me just had a spy - mid-table shite, Saudis bribe refs, all our players are shite blah blah - hilarious! I had forgotten how bitter that Keith is too about us!
  14. 3-0 Andy Cole hat-trick (I probably will wake up and think this with a 12.15pm start )

    Harvey Barnes

I still can't get my head around the signing - I like him but we had spent a similar amount on Gordon the year before plus the Joe's can do a job there and we were desperate for a RW
  16. Loved that draw for us but for Salford, Harrogate and especially for the Accrington Stanley fans - the magic!
