  1. The reason why he doesn't get behind the defense is because he never receives a good pass. He's had some decent runs, but the pass is not arriving. The attackers are dependent on a midfield with creativity that can feed them. Without Barton all our creativity is gone. I don't have the statistics in my head, but I think we've not won one single match when Barton is out. It's not just Loven who's not functioning, the whole team suffers. Barton's played all but about 6 games this season, man. Guthrie was there playing some lovely passes when he got time on the ball last season. His runs are usually in straight lines - easy to track, a second too early or a second too late.
  2. For me he should be the back up to the first choice atm Depends who's first choice, that.
  3. In which games did he play well? He's been bloody useless all season. Even last season I only saw him get in behind the defence once or twice. He doesn't have the pace to play the way you're suggesting, not anymore.
  4. Says you, who's never seen him play.
  5. Loven is an attacker that chases the room behind the defense. Timely and effective runs are his specialty. But to function properly, he needs to play together with a midfielder that's able to hit those passes. But with Barton out, we have almost no creativity in the middle. We have an AM in Nolan completely incapable of hitting an offensive pass. And our wide men aren't what we call accurate either. In other words: it was not an coincidence that Loven started to play rubbish simultaneously with Barton being injured. Before that untimely injury, Loven acutally improved for each game. What an absolute load of rubbish.
  6. Still a good player, just nowhere near what he was, ie the best midfielder ever to grace the PL.
  7. Inter. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE BUNCH OF ITALIAN CUNTS LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!

  9. Julio Cesar must have signed for Bayern. Brilliant finish, like.
  10. Lovenkrands won't get a kick against Stoke.

    Joey Barton

The same goes for Enrique. Does it f***, man. It doesn't even apply to Barton! Of course it does. Barton's played what, 4 games since Carroll's departure? Fulham - was poor Arsenal - was terrific Blackburn - played well Birmingham - was terrific Conclusion = you're both daft.
  12. Mourinho had his choice of literally any player in the world to built his defence around. He chose John Terry, and endorsed that decision by making him captain a short time after getting the Chelsea job. Not sure why you're bringing Carvalho into it.
  13. He certainly is. But he's not the answer, otherwise we should be knocking on Shearer's door tomorrow morning. Did Shearer retire 6 months ago? I saw Lehman a few times last season, he's still got a bit in the tank.
  14. Under Mourinho, yes. Mourinho left 3 1/2 years ago. They broke the PL record for goals last year. They've played plenty of expansive football since Mou's departure. They're not Mancini's City and never have been.
  15. Chelsea have been for the most part the best team in arguably the world's best league for the past 6 years, like, so it's hardly a disgrace if one or two have been better. I disagree with Carvalho being better, although Cole stands up well against him. Then again, how many people truly regarded Ashley Cole to be world class in 2005? Not me, but he wasn't far off. Rio Ferdinand, Sandro Nesta, perhaps even Puyol. I can't think of too many being better than Terry, but let's not forget that Mourinho (who you regard so highly) made Terry captain the week he got the job at Chelsea, and basically built his team around him and Lampard. Look at Chelsea this season, best defensive record in the PL even though Terry has had about 5 different partners back there. Same last season.
  16. Harper was a very good kicker of the ball when he first emerged under Gullit. I can only think that Bobby religiously had the keepers thowing the ball to full-backs in training, because when he finally got that stint in 2006 his kicking had massively deteriorated.
  17. All the wankers who think a scarf pinned to the ceiling makes them a football fan. It's usually a Liverpool scarf, hence the coverage.
  18. Terry's been magnificent for club (and generally country) for almost a decade. He's an arsehole, but one hell of a defender and one hell of a captain. Bet you couldn't even begin to name 10 genuinely better CBs over the last 6 years.
