I honestly don't think there's a striker in the world i'd swap for Carroll. Especially given his age in comparison to most of the big guns. I don't consider either Ronaldo or Messi to be a striker, before folk start.

If Bernard Hopkins wins on saturday i'll make £177, get on it.
-
If it makes you feel any better I only won £12.60 tonight. Had the same amount lying around in my Skybet account and chucked it on Man U at evens. Quite mad that I didn't place more, twas fairly confident they'd win.

Good point. They also had Tiote in front of them in that defensive embarrassment against WBA.
-
Nah, half-decent is fine for it's purpose.

2nd best poster - NUFC Forum, 2009. Nothing I post is ever a waste.

If Shearer takes over we have one less relegation place to worry about, which'll make 3.

Becoming a waste of bandwidth.

Agreed, we need Jonas running at and skinning Carr at every oppourtunity. He should be able to get past him at will. Cut inside or get to their byline. Based on what? He couldn't even get the better of James Perch. Don't exaggerate even my mom could get past Perch ffs. But Jonas couldn't, as I just said.

Since when are Colo and Jonas odious and unpopular? Taylor's also the last of the dogshite and sharp-as-a-beachball CBs that have plagued our team for ten years. Enough's enough.
-
What so playing alongside Taylor makes you forget to look at the ball, allow it to pass over your head numerous times or occasionally let the thing smack you on the back? Playing alongside Taylor increases the pressure as while the Geordie Hero plays superman, the other defender is split between covering him, or doing their own responsibilities. With all that, you are likely to be caught out in defence often. Meanwhile Taylor gets off scot free with the fans because you see him doing glamorous stuff, he never learns from his mistakes or takes responsibility for his actions. He is the first to criticise or point their finger at the other defenders Basically he is the last remaining of the odious unpopular players that got us relegated and the sooner we get rid the better.

I hope he doesn't go to Wolves, they'll probably stay up if that happens.
-
Responsible for this; a late goal courtesy of route one football from Bolton. You couldn't make it up.
-
At least 3 on here did.

Clearly faked an injury last week after his embarassing cock-up for the 2nd WBA goal. Pathetic.
-
Forgot to mention this yesterday, but I can't remember a goal celebrated more intensely in recent times than Barton's on saturday - with the exception of the derby a couple of months back, of course. Everyone around me in the Gallowgate went absolutely mental, myself included.
-
Only if 'performs quite well' equates to a goal every 5 games and about as much use in open play as Peter Lovenkrands with a broken leg.

Not his daughter.

Messi's in good company. At an uni xmas party in 2004 I pissed a lad off (a mackem as it happens) and he urinated into my bottle of Martini, which I later drank. Fortunately I found out, became pals with him eventually and for the remaining 2 years of Uni bought him drinks every now and then. They usually included samples of either my piss or dirty bog water.

So you'd just throw a 19-year-old CB into the deep end and hope he doesn't sink - and sink the team? Kadar's just like Ranger, should ideally be out loan but because of the shocking squad depth there's that real arguement for him to stay put.

Stability's only become a real issue in the last 6 days. That we know about, yes. And even if not it still applies. We've just tied a good defender and a promising striker down to contracts lasting 6 seasons. This goes way beyond stability. He wants far more money than he deserves, simple as that.
