Ryan Taylor has been fit all this time, and pulling out a few decent performances in the cup. And he's no better/worse than Simpson.

Ranger's no striker, not at this level. Our best bet is to whip as many crosses into the box as possible and hope Shola and Carroll can make good contact.
The frailties up front, in midfield and at RB, far outweigh those posed by Mike Williamson. He's nowt special and in an ideal world he'd be in on the bench, but you're being very, very harsh on the lad.
