We've seen that player on several ocassions, just not quite enough.
  2. Krul's not ready, man. I'd worry about him far more than Harper.

Some people on here will have you stoned for saying Colocini isn't anything other than perfect. I totally agree, Colocini for 1st 10 mins v villa was awful, let in Ashley Young 3x behind him. Give over. We all know he has his weaknesses.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I agree with the first part. But why wouldn't he?

Consider the cost of everyone else in the dressing room wanting parity with his wages / relative payrise. Exactly. Not to mention the fact that the term 'proven prem quality' isn't applicable here. He’s more proven at PL level than Coloccini and he’s our top earner isn’t he? Taylor's had 5 pretty poor seasons in my book. Makes him no more proven that someone with 1 'bad' season. Name me a newcastle CB that's had a decent season in the premiership last 5 years..... Because if your theory is correct, it'll be none Faye was decent. I wouldn't pay much attention to Ronaldo's "book". He's not exactly going to the make any best sellers awards, unless it's for his works of complete fiction. You obviously haven't been a 'fan' for long. But to answer Neesy's ridiculous question; Bassong and Faye have had genuinely good seasons, Taylor hasn't.

  8. Agree with this. SWP is another one. Again, as I've said in the past (relating to Campbell), it's probably just down to the amount of times we've been linked to them. Nah, I dunno. I always imagined Alan Smith too, and we were hardly linked with him until he came. Are you joking? No, but I'm sure you think I should be. There was never anything sustained, or concrete. It was revealed that he'd refused to go to Middlesbrough because he wanted to join us about a month before he signed. Not to mention the bid we made in 2004. I wasn't aware of that one. That was during my time away from football, I think. Either way, whatever, it barely matters. Well, it does. You were wrong and we were right. Therefore it matters a great, great deal. Exactly. What a fool!

    Shola Ameobi

Which is one of the reasons he should be nowhere near our first team.

He hasn't demonstrated any real quality in close to 5 years.

Shola doesn't look fat, it's muscle and it seems to restrict his movement. Yet he's been described as too languid in this same thread. I think you need to look the word up, mate. I think you need to look up perspective in the same dictionary mate. Fail.

No, he's got worse as he's put weight on and bulked up. Very true.
