That was the only thing he got wrong tbh. The analysis of Jonas and Routledge sounds like it was written by someone with more than a hint of bias. Routledge is twice the player. The analysis of Carroll is more sugar-coated than a wedding cake. And he seems to have ignored the fact that we don't have a single decent RB in the squad. So you believe Routledge is top class? He's hardly lavished praise on Jonas either, just that he enjoys watching him, nothing at all wrong with that. Routledge is probably the closest thing we have to top class in the final third.

Err I don't know, having targets who would actually improve his team might be a good start! Absolute bullshit. Silva, Milner, Toure, Kolarov, Boateng and Balotelli are miles better than Bellamy, SWP, Vieira, Bridge, Lescott and Roque.

He's absolutely terrible man, not even a good defender in League one.

Mate in 08/09 Guthrie was what 20/21 and in his first season with us so I think its bit unfair judging him on that 21/22 actually. Has he improved since then? No, the same weaknesses still apply. He's still slow, weak and lacking in endurance. We cannot expect to stay up with both Nolan and Guthrie in the first Xl.

Guthrie went missing far too often in 08-09. I do admire his ability on the ball but he's just too slow and too weak.

Neither should be starting, it's a pretty sad state of affairs.
