  1. Well Geremi was paid similar, if not more and couldn't run. Never heard any stories of his unprofessionalism Geremi is 47, not 27.
  2. The f*** are you chuntering on about? For someone in such awful physical condition he's done well to play 35 times this season - more than anyone else in the team. He's heavy set and he's not particularly quick but if you watch him for any length of time it's clear to all he's fit enough. Absolute bollocks. It's a massive indictment of Hughton that he's played 35 times this season, not an endorsement of Nolan's fitness which most on this forum can see is very poor.
  3. Helped a woman out of the snow? He's been paid £40K a week and can barely run, man. His physical condition is an absolute abomination and if this isn't a reflection of his attitude and professionalism, then what is?
  4. Good, let's loan him to a championship club next season and take it from there.
  5. Fair enough, thought you referring to Nolan's attitude tbh.
  6. Not sure how that's relevant at all. I'd alternate one of Nolan and Smith with Guthrie, personally. And when Barton comes back i'd probably start him with one of those 3. I most certainly wouldn't have Nolan playing 180 minutes of football in the space of 3 days anyway.
  7. To say he has been a disgrace, is nothing short of embarrasing TBF. Nolan's attitude has been brilliant and he has brought a dozen goals to the team. To say that he lacks fitness and ability on the ball would be accurate enough but to say he has been a disgrace is laughable. His attitude on the pitch is good. That however, is the easy part. I'm confused, you seem to rate Ameobi, who I see as bringing zero to the team except goals, yet you despise Nolan, who brings zero to the team except, err, goals. For what it's worth, I hope neither gets anywhere near the team next season, but this season they've been equally infuriating when on the pitch, yet have scored some vital goals that have won us matches. I don't rate Shola at all. But he's scored a goal for just about every start in this league. Which means i'm happy for him to play. He can't be compared to a midfielder scoring a goal every 3 games and doing nowt else. A midfielder is resposbile for winning and maintaining possession and driving the team forward. Nolan has neglected those responsibilities all seeason, as he did last year.

So his attitude is good but he's a disgrace. I save words like that for terrible owners. I said his attitude 'on the pitch' is good. His attitude overall is not.

I'm mystified by Nolan sometimes - the guy is a bit of a contradiction. He does seem to care, and he has good attitude on the pitch. I just can't understand why that attitude doesn't drive him to sort his fitness out. Maybe he is trying, I don't know. The amount of times he appears in a certain thread in the chat section would appear not. As would his stamina which has if anything worsened over the course of the season.
  10. If you look at their results, with the exception of the Chelsea game they haven't been embarrassed defensively. I've no idea how good or bad their defence is in truth but it hasn't looked as bad as their midfield whenever i've seen them play. Cana is horribly overhyped.

  12. As i've said, I have zero faith in him to show ruthlessness in addressing the weakest part of the team. Nolan has been a disgrace for most of the season but he's never been dropped and has only been subsituted (that I can remember) once.
  13. Their defence has very rarely been embarrassed this season. Their midfield looks shocking though.
  14. I said in October that I liked Hughton as a person and was prepared to give him a chance. He's done alright at times and has to take some credit for our league position. But ultimately, he's proved to me and others than he doesn't have enough about him to be a premiership manager.
  15. Absolutely. Should have been done years ago. 2003 to be exact.
  16. Chris 'Middlesbrough has the best pubs and clubs in the UK and Laurent Robert surely wouldn't shoot from 35 yards' Kamara? Doesn't sound like him.
  17. Put £20 on him being the next to go at 7/1 last night. Odds remain, get on it.
  18. I think we'll probably buy a defensively minded CM to play alongside Nolan. Just an opinion but with Hughton in charge we'll once again see a premiership season with no creativity or pace through the middle.
  19. Hillarious. Care to tell everyone what tells you that Hughton won't sign a CM this summer other than the fact that you don't like him? The fact I've seen Nolan play just about every fkin minute of every fkin game despite barely being fit enough to last 10 minutes.
  20. Do either of you genuinely think that we'll be starting next season without Smith or Nolan in the first team? What do 90% of the Hughton fans on here have in common?
  21. f*** the points, wenger plays better football with better results. We weren't talking about which team is better, man. But since you bring it up, Wenger has better results? Liverpool have won three trophies under Benitez since Arsenal last picked one up.
  22. Not compared to Wenger he's not. At least Benny's points have some (if not a hell of a lot of) validity.
