He was in a brilliant England setup for 10 years, playing against the likes of Macedonia an out and out goalscorer should get 40 goals in 89 games. He's let England down when it mattered though. And now he's a very poor player with a good reputation, which is what I was originally getting at.
-
4th top for Man U? Aye, brilliant.
-
"He's" = He is, I didn't say "he was" now did I? As for being one of the best strikers England has ever had. Why has he failed badly in every tournament since 98 then? Shearer, Lineker, Ferdinand and Sheringham in my lifetime were all better players.
-
Over 20 games in the flesh I think, a fair few on TV aswell.

Personally speaking, i've watched Beckford for two years at Elland Road and he often looks a woeful player in league 1, he'll last a few games at best in the premiership before everyone at SJP turns on him. you've a season ticket at elland road ? How can he be woeful player in League 1 when Leeds consider him one of their best and he scores a bunch. They're all perfectly happy for him to leave man.
-
Ah right, Christ, thank God. Is it that amazing? Afonso Alves had a better record in a better league. Afonso was 25 or 26 when he did well for Herenveen though, this lad's just turned 22. Seems a hell of a lot of goals in a 4 month loan.
-
He got no goals after January playing for us, he wont for Hull either.
-
He has 17 goals in 16 games according to Sky, that's amazing.
-
Xisco's playing.
-
Man U chasing the game and they bring Mame Biram Diouf on ahead of Owen, world class striker tbh.

He's korean, he'd fit into most people's pockets.

Wasn't customers, twas the staff.

Realistically his value will only go down from now on.
-
Bowyer's a good player and always has been.
-
I said in August or earlier that his attitude seemed suspect.
-
Which is why he wont be a long-term success at us. He relies completely on the players around him to get the better of their opponents.
-
Derby concede 4 at home to Scunthorpe.

There is absolutely no way Beckford (who id' guess you've watched twice) will achieve a better goals to minutes than Harewood, but we'll see.
-
You're missing the point here. You dislike Harewood because he isn't the type to cover lots of ground yet you rate Beckford when exactly the same criticism can easily be directed at him.
-
You're a hypocrite Skirge, either that or you actually haven't seen Beckford play. I do rate him, i think he'll get 10 goals between now and May in the championship. But premiership, not a hope in hell.
-
I have seen him play enough times to have faith in him, Leeds may be by far the best team in the League but a lot say the same about us inb the Championship, we got a 20 goal per season striker? that will be no, not a chance never mind 20 goals in half a season. Shola is a 20 goal a season striker in this league. It's just you've been an arsehole about Harewood being lazy since we signed him and Beckford is the same type of a player in that he won't chase lost causes.
-
Bobby Moncur prefers Kilgallon apparently. Of course he also thinks S Taylor is a better player than Woodgate was in his time here, the clueless idiot. Fantastic if Colo stays long term, his attitude has really won me over this season.
-
In regard to him being fit for the premiership, how many times have you watched Beckford play Skirge? His touch is terrible and he gets bullied off the ball far too often. As for succeeding long-term specifically at NUFC, it will never happen I promise you. Leeds are by far and away the best team in that league, it's a massive factor in his striking success.
