  1. Harper 6 Simpson 7 Taylor 6 Khiz 7 Enrique 6 Guthrie 6 Smith 7 Nolan 6.5 Butt 3 Carroll 5 Ranger 5 Jonas 7 Harewood 7 Lovenkrands 5 Enrique has one of those game where he defends brilliantly but looks toothless in attack, made excellent runs but never put the ball where he wanted it to go, very frustrating. Guthrie could easily do well in RM but his head dropped after the penalty miss tonight.
  2. it worked because Nolan was on fire. Despite Ipswich's woeful defence the two strikers didn't really trouble and Butt was his usual woeful self. The starting line-up tonight was horribly wrong and in truth they battered us for the first 20 minutes
  3. He's been with us for a month now and it's been almost 3 weeks since his appearance at Cardiff, he's surely fit enough now
  4. Did Jonas play down the lad when he came on? He normally does well with Enrique. Him and Enrique looked really good together, they got in behind time after time but typically the end product wasn't good enough
  5. Why is Lovenkrands not getting a chance up front? We all know he's no winger, so if he's really behind 4 players in the pecking order, why bother giving him a contract?
  6. The long ball tactics are cringworthy, when we started getting the ball down on the left hand side we were raping them
  7. I was just amazed that most wanted Carroll and Ranger up front again.
  8. Wait till 30 mins before kick-off, then place your bets
  9. How difficult is it to stand in a dressing room with Butt and tell him that he's not playing because he's shit? Hardest thing in the world apparently. On the left in a diamond, fucking hell
  10. and thank fuck, or so I though
  11. are you lot going to acknowledge the fact that Ranger isn't ready for first team football when his strike partner is Carroll? The lad grafts, run his bollocks off and at times shows nice touches and decent strength. Means nothing when he doesn't have a clue where to stand or where to run. He's going to have to go back to the reserves, continue to mature as a player and get the occassional 20 minutes when we're up against it. Harewood had been on the pitch 10 minutes and he'd scored one and three times got into a goalscoring position, the difference he made was staggering. As I said on Saturday he HAS to start the next game. Still i'm sure there will be one or two who'll still pick Ranger and Carroll, who've managed 2 goals between them in a combined 16 games.
  12. Man U Chelsea Real us £28 returns £100
  13. If Jonas is crossing to players with decent movement (such as Harewood) he'll look an awful lot better in that respect
  14. you had Sheff Utd to draw against Ipswich?
  15. That you've probably heard of: Tony Blair and Sting. Although neither are what you'd call fanatics.

    RIP sale thread.

The big 4, City, Spurs, Villa and Everton are going nowhere man Under Ashley or Moat we'll never break the top 8, to do that would require genuine financial clout. Everton's turnover can't be much more less than ours and they have a very, very good team in place. If we get promoted we'll have to build from scratch, under Moat or Ashley we can expect 12th at absolute best.

More then we spent under Ashley and with a £72m wage bill crippling the clubs finances yes, nowt to do with Moat or how things should be next season IF we do go up. If Fulham and Everton can get their with far less financial clout then us why should we think it unreachable? things have changed, Man City will be part of the top 8 obviously With Ashley or Moat we most certainly wont have more clout than Everton

More than us We're lightyears behind Spurs, City, Everton and Villa.

    RIP sale thread.

We're winning games and to a certain extent we've lost the players who made a mockery of the club, things are going in the right direction. The top 8 is unreachable, and will be until we bypass the likes of Ashley and Moat. Relegation could easily turn out to be the best thing for the club in the long-term.
  20. I've sat the last few days out I really hate betting when i'm not completely familiar with the teams
