nobody can disagree with that. But hey, those fingers must be pointed at someone

I hope they booze for the next 2 weeks without stopping, but 2 days before a game it's just f***ing inappropriate tbh - IF they're actually drinking alcohol
  4. I have reservations but I'd love him back. He's probably the best manager we'll be able to attract in the next decade

And therein lies a lot of his problem. He is massively better with Enrique in the team. Take Enrique out and he is far less effective. He came from a league where the full-backs overlap. Not his fault we only have one capable of doing so. Even without Enrique, he's still a lot better than anyone else there

Nolan will be a lot more effective if he misses out on the midweek games, really doesn't have the stamina to be playing twice a week.
  7. No ronaldo, is he injured? He just posted in the Jonas thread, seems alright. You really could have stuck the knife in there, good form sir

To be honest, I think Taylor will do well on the RW with 2 proper strikers in the middle, Nolan will have one good game in three. Jonas and Enrique will clean house on the left and quietly win us a lot of games. It's never going to be as blatant as you'd expect for a winger, but he'll do some job for us under the right conditions

Jonas did four times as much as those two did last season
  10. He's never been a great defender, blatantly one of those whose assertiveness and influence in the dressing roomg goes along way to justifying selection. The fact that he's been their main defender for a while now is one of the reasons they've failed to win the title

Jonas is effective in that he pegs the opposition back and allows space for others. There really is a smashing player in there somewhere but like Coloccini he'll never be appreciated as much as he should due to a very unorthodox, unbritish style of play. I can't really comment on yesterday sadly but with Enrique on wednesday night he anihilated everything in his path, although a cutting edge was typically lacking.
  12. I've posted this before but watching Carragher trying to compete with Drogba is hilarious

So why would you have him in the team then? The same reason he's in the team now presumably. Have you seen the alternatives? yep, the only alternatives are central midfielders.

    Jonas Gutierrez

i'd have him in the team every day of the week but i've seldom seen a supposed creative player strike a ball so badly. I genuinely played alongside better strikers of the ball in my uni team.
  15. The game is one big blur. Same problems evidently though, dropping down a league doesn't make technically limited players creative, or slow players fast. Hope we can get a winger in before Forrest
  16. Hopefully he'll be able to conduct himself with more assertiveness now.
  17. Spurs Wolves Man U Wigan draw Burnley draw £1.80 returns £100 Have loads of accumulators on but that one's the most recently placed. Along with the mental bet: Spurs Man U Arsenal Everton Coventry draw Newcastle Plymouth draw Sheff utd Colchester Leeds Oldham Chesterfield £0.60 returns £1100
  18. Keegan proved just over a year ago he had the skills a manager needs in this day and age. See the 4-3-3 for example. Obviously he's a s**** tactician though. its absolute s*** to say a manager from the 90s is out of place nowadays,...nobody has an answer to Fergusson and wenger....both older than keegan,.. and then theres SBR was still managing when he was 15 years older than keegan is now. Wenger is a bad example, tactically I don't think he's owt special at all
  19. Not for the current people in charge it doesnt they hired him Well yeah but recent events may have changed their views since Jan 2008. Also do big name football manager use CV's ? How else do they get judged?
