  1. Had we conceded once against Cardiff, Leicester, Sheff Wed and Brom, we'd be in 7th place right now. We're not in a position to blood a keeper at the expense of goals man.
  2. watch the game yourself (or the highlights) next time
  3. According to who, your pal Mr Magoo? Clearly at fault for the second goal, horrible keeping tbh

Only his attitude which prevented it, tbh. If he'd have kept his mouth shut THAT season, he'd have got a move in the summer to a top club instead of getting hounded off to Celtic. THAT is more truthful than all this "step up in level" "Bust up" the whole "everyone's fault but his" crap Look - he STILL isn't getting the amount of goals his talent should be dishing out. He's STILL one of the prime "All my way, and when it goes wrong its not my fault" types. When it went wrong on the pitch, 9 times out of ten it was he who changed the game for us. His record is roughly 1 in 3. For a player of that type it's blatantly a damn good return.
  5. and Krul has looked an absolute fucking liability in the 2 games he's played this season. Which do you choose? Honestly, what absolute nonsense. Keeping isn't a problem and wont be in the short to medium term.

I'd rather have him than Anelka and Kalou, any of Man U's strikers bar Rooney, any of Arsenal's bar Robin VP and all but Torres at Liverpool easily good enough for the top 4, he got us there twice and will help Man City achieve the same come May

Norwich to Coventry - Step up in level Coventry to Newcastle - Step up in level Newcastle to Celtic - Bust-up Newcastle to Blackburn - Same as above Blackburn to Liverpool - Step up in level Liverpool to West Ham - Not good enough, regular first-team football West Ham to Man City - Step up in level Apart from the Souness bust-up, all his other moves have been for the best for his career.
  8. 1.Chelsea 2.Liverpool 3.Man U 4.Man City 5.Arsenal 6.Spurs 7.Everton 8.Villa ftw
  9. completely bang on. Beyond the defence, I have little to zero faith in our players being good enough to keep us in the premiership
  10. Good news on both counts. what a load of bollocks Why? I don't think for one second that Hart and Cahill are better than Robinson and Lescott
  11. Green Johnson Terry Ferdinand Cole Lennon/J.Cole Lampard Barry Gerrard Rooney Heskey is what i'd personally go with. Defoe, Walcott and A.Young coming off the bench if needed
  12. Good news on both counts. what a load of bollocks
  13. Strikerless...Rooney drops too deep to play lone striker role. completely agree, depends on who we play but Defoe or Heskey have to be there
  14. Walcott will be a decent impact sub, he'll be there ahead of SWP and perhaps even Ashley Young
  15. Gerrard doesn't and will never suit a patient game. Lampard on the other hand would imo, with his magnificent vision.
  16. I agree with the theory, just saying it's unlikely. And tbh, without the billions we're unlikely to capture a great manager
  17. Sadly for that thoery, there are more Arabs in the world than geniunely good managers
  18. the idea is with stability and financial prudence in spending then the club can generate its own finance. Everton are an example of a club that competes at the top level and only spend within their means without the resources of a chelsea man city man u Everton are going backwards though. Going backwards or maintaining their same level of stability, ony losing their league final placing due to Villa and Man city spunking wedge left right and centre. Villa? Yes Villa have spent more wedge then everton over the pat couple of seasons, less then man city tho I'll admit. Everton finished above Villa last season
  19. Similar to Owen, you put Lovenkrands in a position where he needs to use strength or guile and he'll come off second best the vast majority of the time. I'm glad he's here though because alongside a Carroll or Shola he'll likely get in behind a hell of a lot with his acceleration and slot them away. That said, with Harewood in the team I'd only ever put Lovenkrands on the bench, as I said before Saturday's game
  20. He's a central defender, he's entitled to making 2 costly errors per season
  21. Wes Brown is better defensively
  22. I always thought Lampard got far too much grief for his England performances. Gerrard on the other hand possibly got off too lightly, some of his performances pre-Capello were woeful. Especially his cowardly and gutless performance as captain away in Moscow. He should never wear the captain's armband for England again (if the opportunity arose) after that night.
