He scored 1 in 4 during Euro 2000 and 2 in 5 during WC 2002 my point stands, he was f***ing s**** in those tournaments. And lets not even talk about the other 2.

Nope. Quite a difference between how good Shearer was then though and Owen now. Indeed, while on his England drought he was still scoring 30+ for Blackburn Not disputing that. But as a 4th choice striker, I'd take Owen over the likes of Crouch, Heskey, C.Cole every time. they're all clearly better players and easily better partners for Rooney in the even of an injury
-
And completely shit in all of them. But hey, 7 years past his prime lets stick him in there, for a laugh.

Yep, even Owen managed it He also managed it against the top countries. (Germany, Argentina, Brazil...) Aye. Barring '98 in a couple of games he was normally absolutely horrific for England in the major tournaments. (I am aware his goal against Brazil was in the quarter final of the World Cup) Said it before on here, but it's ignored. His reputation is an absolute f***ing sham. Give over man. Top class player until we signed him. A good goalscorer, never a top class player in a million years post 2002 4 goals in 3 major tournaments following 1998 isnt that disasterous tbh considering how the rest of our side played. Or how anyone else has done for us in that time either. He actually tended to score against the better sides in major tournaments. stop it, please. And it's 4 tournaments tbh

To be fair, Terry was immaculate during WC06

£3 on Lampard next scorer at 5/1

come on, you know exactly who i mean
-
Crouch is better than Romario
-
probably the second best finisher ever
-
draws are the only way to make money today lads, choose 5 and throw a quid on
-
Commanding his area hasn't been a problem at all. No conicidence it went to shit at the back with him out of the team.
-
For the first few games they may have been. After the Arsenal game he did well imo
-
The difference being, Harper didn't look shite in the premiership and Carson most certainly did
-
He netted the rebound from a rebound
-
Simpson & Taylor the right flank is what I meaning Yeah he can be, he scored in midweek a rebound from his own penalty miss. rebound from a shot by Achille Emana
-
I'd go with Enrique and Simpson on the flanks. Which is what I f***ing said in the first place I was just pointing out that Geremi could play RB rather comfortably if all else fails. And he's a goal threat.
-
That will do against a Forest team that does not have a settled forward line. Losing Taylor is a blow as he is our best cb & a goal threat for us. WE DO NOT WANT TO PLAY GEREMI AT RIGHT BACK!!! Forest have been using strikers with pace on the flanks & they would destroy Geremi, good idea about 4 seasons ago though Mourinho thought so, 3 seasons ago Taylor = goal threat Mourinho played Diarra at right back as well. He also gave Geremi a free & said somethings to Bobby about Gezza: "SIR Bobby Robson says he tried to warn Newcastle United off signing Geremi. Robson claims Jose Mourinho - then manager of Geremi's club Chelsea - told him the 29-year-old Cameroon international's best days were behind him last summer. He says he informed his old club - only for Sam Allardyce to sign Geremi AND make him captain. But after a disappointing start to his Newcastle career, Allardyce stripped Geremi of the captaincy last month and handed the armband to Alan Smith. Sir Bobby, writing in his Mail on Sunday column, said: "Jose Mourinho told me last season that Geremi's legs had effectively gone. "'Mister, he plays like a 40-year-old. He can not run any more. He will not play for me in important matches again,' was Jose's typically forthright response. " Since Taylor scored his 1st league goal in the 2006/7 season he has scored 8 league goals, Lovenkrands in the period of time has scored 9. You were spouting that Loverkrands was a good finisher his record proves otherwise. All I am saying he is a threat, his 4 goals last season for a CB in a team that went down shows this. Lovenkrands is a good finisher, he's just good at nowt else basically. Geremi would be very comfortable at right back against Nottingham f***ing Forrest man. I don't see how Mourinho saying 'He will not play for me in important matches again' relates to us playing him in the championship for one game.
