  1. Liverpool were only 4 points behind Man U last season. If Man U really have signed their last player, they've lost 15 points imo
  2. How are Liverpool becoming stale? Their best striker was injured for half of last season and they still took the title race to mid-may. As for Chelsea, they are still the most talented team in the league and under the right manager they'll win it
  3. for what? Just about every single one of your posts is ambiguous mate
  4. Ronaldo

    Number 9 2009/2010

I certainly don't want to see Shola Ameobi wearing it
  5. Wouldn't necessarily call Tevez a "proper" striker, he's much more of an all round playmaker. This. what I mean was, he's an attacker to be relied on. He isn't an enigma like Bellamy, inexperienced like Cacedio or average at best like Benjani.
  6. if this is the end of their signings, i'll happily put every penny i've got on Liverpool or Chelsea winning the league
  7. of course he does, but those 3 words add up to the same thing: lots and lots of movement. Bowyer was the same, he was stupidly fit and bursting into the box at the right moment got him lots of goals in one or two season for Leeds. It doesn't last forever though, and i'd be amazed if Ireland is given the same licence to go forward in a team containing Tevez and Santa-Cruz, two proper strikers
  8. hughes plays 3 players in the middle, no? Don't think barry is that much better than ireland. Ireland's energy, stamina, workrate and runs into the box were invaluable for man city last season. Not to mention he chipped in with fair amount of goals. the fact you listed those 3 words together made me laugh that's only one season though. Your post pretty much perfectly describes Bowyer for Leeds, difficult to repeat
  9. Barry and De Jong are better players
  10. I don't believe for one second that Hughes will tolerate that, he'll quit. My post probably should have read 'I'd be amazed if they bench Santa-Cruz for Adebayor if hughes is manager'
  11. Why? Despite the fact I don't rate either of them, which one is the bigger name? And which one smacks of being an owners signing, and which one smacks of being one of Hughes signings. Quite funny actually how the owners have given Hughes £50m and told him to go and play in the sand with all the other simpletons whilst they go and do big boys business Santa-Cruz is Hughes' signing clearly, what's your point?
  12. I'd be amazed if they bench Santa Cruz for Adebayor
  13. 2 great goals from Shola and Nile? What a load of nonsense
  14. Ireland surely wont get into their first Xl next season. Tevez is a massive signing for them, if they could get him, Santa-Cruz, Robinho and Bellamy (if the need to) on the pitch at the same time, they're going to cause serious problems for anyone. They need defenders though, cant be having Dunne and Kompany as their main 2 at the back
  15. Bellamy will get a 'look in' anywhere man. If not starting I can barely think of a better player to bring on after 70 minutes
  16. testicular cancer should never have been given the chance to spread to his brain, surely?
  17. 2 against Lillestrom in the intertoto EDIT: fucker
  18. until he got the job full-time Shola played reasonably at the beginning of Roeders full season in charge up until his hip injury. he had about 2 goals from 15 games before the injury, right? Well I wasn't too sure after you posted that so I checked it out and according to Wiki* he made 13 appearances that season with 3 of them as a sub and scored 5 goals before injury. *Yeah, I know I only remember the offside goal against Everton and the goal on day one against Wigan for that entire season. No way is it 5 goals
  19. until he got the job full-time Shola played reasonably at the beginning of Roeders full season in charge up until his hip injury. he had about 2 goals from 15 games before the injury, right?
  20. until he got the job full-time
  21. Because Jonas is and he continually says his English isn't great? in what way does that explain the first part of my comment?
  22. It's a lot easier for a Spaniard to translate from English to Spanish, which I'm guessing is what he does most of the time, than Spanish to English. fair point
  23. why it that Enrique is often described as the team's spanish speaker with the best grasp of english yet 'his' facebook entires make your average polack sound like Shakespeare
