  1. come on, half the teams in the league are shite and at least 7 worse than ours on paper. We've been absolutely woeful in those 20 games, the stats dont adequately do justice how bad he's actually been.
  2. This, they should torture the fucker who killed him to death.
  3. The article is hard to take seriously, i want a good manager and some stability and ambition from the guys in charge but 3 main parts of that letter that bugged me. 1st bold bit - he hasn't had many games, absolute crap team. Captain won't sign a contract all the players pretty much want out. He hasn't had a full season in charge, but im sure this person expects the likes of Coloccini to be given a full season rather than be judged over 15-20 games. 2) Is just point scoring, and a bit of a piss take. 3) If they did that and say brought in Paul Ince (before blackburn) and he failed would you be behind the appointment, when he is sacked. or in hindsight would people believe 'should never have appointed a young manager, need some experienced here'. The fact that Kinnear is statisctically the 2nd worst in 107 years is very significant tbh. He has absolutely no excuse for that because you cannot honestly tell me that we've not had worse teams than the current one
  4. Or somewhere in between? Taylor made his full league debut in 2005 at the tender age of 19. Since when he’s had the opportunity to learn his trade by partnering Boumsong, Bramble, Moore, Onyewu, Rozenthal and Cacapa. He’s also been regularly played out of position, and under at least five managers with differing approaches to the game. It’s no surprise his decision making hasn‘t improved. Taylor has all the attributes of a top centre half, except composure. He tries too hard, unlike Bassong who just concentrates on the basics and looks all the better for it. Unfortunately for Taylor the senior pros at the club don’t show any real leadership, and he feels compelled to step into the breach. Probably because he actually cares about what happens to NUFC. Taylor has suffered because far too much has been asked of him. Bassong was utter garbage at left back, which is why he hasn’t been asked to play their again. Taylor on the other hand makes a decent stab at playing out of position so gets asked to sacrifice his own development for the good of the team time and time again. Taylor gets a lot of unwarranted flack. He’s a good player with the right attitude, who‘d blossom at a stable club. If NUFC is to a future we need hang on to players like Steven Taylor. Without wishing to sound harsh, that's a load of rubbish. No it's not. What are "all the attributes" that Taylor has to be a top centre half? Bassong being "utter garbage" at left back is a laugh as well. Him not playing there since probably has more to do with the fact that he's the best centre half at the club by a country mile and the best left back being fit. I can tell you the attributes he's missing. Pace, power, anticipation, positioning, the ability to head the ball where you want it to go, good distribution, the ability to have the respect of your fellow team mates and good distribution skills. He's canny at shirking responsibility though and pointing. I'll give him that. Your getting him mixed up with Collocini. No I think I know who I'm talking about thank you. but no idea what you’re talking about. Excellent. Still waiting for these attributes btw. I didn’t see the point as you‘d obviously disagree and there’s no easy way of proving who’s right… but if it helps ST is a good all rounder. He’s good in the air. He’s strong. He’s mobile. He can tackle. He’s got a decent first touch. His passing is more than adequate for a centre half. He doesn’t panic in possession. He doesn’t turn his back on shots (like Collocini) and he has a good attitude. And he chips in with a few goals. he isn't mobile and his tackling is average at absolute best. His passing is shocking man, honestly and a 'good all rounder' doesn't have any glaring weaknesses, which Taylor clearly does
  5. btw, I find it ridiculous to the point of being funny that you consider Lovenkrands to have poaching instincts based on 2 goals
  6. Milner's crossing was very poor here. Especially in his last full season
  7. cloud fucking cuckoo land, what a stupid thread
  8. the 4-3-1-2 was a lot more dependant on Viduka than some seem to think. Without that type of player in the lineup there is very little point tbh.
  9. to think with good management we could easily have Parker, Jenas and N'zogbia instead of Butt, Geremi and Smith
  10. Fair play to him, he's done OK for the most part at RB
  11. Thank God Keegan didn't have that opinion last season else we might not be talking about relegation this season, because we might have done it a year earlier instead. things have changed
  12. Starting Owen isn't fair enough though, his form before injury was fucking shit and cant be expected to be any better returning from injury. Lovenkrands has earned the shirt, and has lost it based on this fucking myth that Michael Owen is some sort of great footballer. Fucking pathetic the lot of em
  13. you forgetting all the points he's cost us this season

Those of us with brains all know he's a bad defender
  15. I dont care if he spends 90 minutes deciding whether to bum Martins or Jonas, so long as Shola Ameobi is nowhere near the pitch
  16. So spineless it's incredible
  17. We'd be better off giving Venables the two and a half year contract that Kinnear's been offered. too right, tell him he can bring in his own coaching team, get rid of the 3 tossers currently in charge
  18. i'd wake up on the morning of an away game thinking 'hmm, we might just get a win today' lots of new ground to go to, i'd actually make a real effort to get to every away game next season.
  19. know exactly what you mean and have been saying this for 4 years. However, to think we'd be a league below the mackems
  20. they've got his age wrong tbh, his wealth too no doubt
  21. the masses are rapidly rallying around offering support to Ashley's running of the club in massive numbers now. Xisco ? Lovenkrands ? A new contract for Ameobi ? Ryan Taylor ? Blows the mind away. Lovenkrands already has two goals and seems decent, he was never bought to be first choice though. Xisco is a Spain U21 international and hasn't really been given a chance this season. Ryan Taylor, too soon to comment. Ameobi? Can't argue there, rubbish. they are all second rate at best I'm afraid. None is a patch on Michael Owen. Keep thinking such 2nd rate players are good signings, bringing about the decrease in gates as a sign that the new regime knows what it is doing if you wish. One day we might have someone running the club who knows how to get the ground full again. Soon, hopefully. did you see Xisco for Deportivo at all?
  22. because it interferes with attendance revenues and it's naughty
  23. Hull wont finsh mid-table though, 14th at best
  24. we're not even 3 points above the relegation zone mate, things clearly couldn't have gone much worse this season
