fair play to Guthrie and Xisco, both will be key figures in next season, whatever happens
-
If we'd got him instead of Stephen Carr in 2004 who knows how we might have been impacted in view of both his organisational skills and footballing ability.

Bent has 10 league goals this season, better than Owen, and only 5 behind the premiership's top scorer. Bent hasn't started nearly as many as Owen either Is Capello laughable? because he clearly agrees with me. Owen has failed at international level post 98. He's chipped in with a few goals in friendlies but where it matters he hasn't delivered. He's England's 6th choice striker now, and rightfully so

I was back in the UK over the weekend for the England game and went into Lillywhites. I always liked Lillywhites when I lived in London, a really elite sports shop, but was totally shocked after going in on Saturday. It now looks like a multi-storey storage warehouse crammed, and I mean crammed, full with junk. Mike Ashley doesn't give a fck about Newcastle United, he doesn't give a fck about anything. Good businessman or unscrupulous fat twt........? they go hand in hand. Pile em high, sell em low

Bent's a better player and a much better strike partner for Rooney or anyone for that matter
-
Have people forgotten that Steven Taylor is horrific at CB?
-
great news, Bassong is the difference between a solid defence and a defence waiting to fall to pieces

8 goals in 8 games will have Capello under pressure to include him in the squad. Some journalists on yesterday's SS1 talk-in on the subject stated that it might not be Owen's form or injury problems that are keeping him out of the squad, but something dismissive he said to the media after his last appearance for England under Capello, a game which had people questioning Capello's tactics and use of substitutions. owen's form hasn't be good, i think it's 2 goals in 10 games for us now, that for a player who offer's nothing to the team show's he is not mr incredible goalscorer and player that some fan's and certainly pundits think he is i wouldn't put it past him going to the mls, cos I can't see many premiership offering anything like what owen will want, with his injury record i think he could only get a pay as you play contract 4 in his last 9 starts. 1 in his last 10 apps 2 in his last 9 starts, stop f***ing lying man Sorry, meant league games. As for your reaction. You really hate Owen don't you? lol You can twist statistics anyway you want, as my post was meant to show. Fact is Owen is a best finisher and needs to play. perhaps, but Neesy is absolutely right (for once) Owen hasn't been playing well at all since his goals at the end of the year

lets hope so, beating the drop and having those fuckers go down
-
That's besides the point. The players clearly raise their game for the bigger clubs, regardless of the space they get. who?
-
sick of all this 'if we play like we did against' shite Man U and Arsenal play football and are happy to give us space because they know they can beat us 10 times out of 10. It means absolutely fuck all against Stoke and Portsmouth
-
He doesn't say owt about us being pretty crap there, he's bang right to be honest. After all, we boo 12 goal a season wingers and the entire team when we get beat by Arsenal
-
that's absolute nonsense, he did an interview the day before he scored against us and said nowt but good things about the fans and we held out Villa with a combination of luck and Villa being absolutely shocking in the second half
-
Bramble would come back in a second man, he loves it up here
-
don't get me started mate, Bramble looks like Nesta with the ball compare to Stevie T
-
a year with one of the best readers of the game in premiership history goes a long way. I always like Bramble at nufc but he's looked genuine top quality this season. Wigan's player of the year by a mile
-
says all the right things. Sadly means very little
-
he'd be ideal in a 3-5-2 wingback formation like, not that i'd ever suggest playing 3-5-2
-
If Bruce gets the job he WILL bring back Bramble like, no doubt about it, he raves about him every week
-
the defence is solid, Rio and Terry have never really let us down and wont, although admittedly I'm far from Terry's biggest fan
-
Dimitri Kharine and his aversion to shorts
-
Bruce coaching a central defence of Bramble and Bassong, sounds good to me
