Bowyer played well for us in 04-05, in fact he was arguably our best player that season after Bellas (who was sold in Jan) Are you thinking of the right season there? He was pretty good in 05/06 when Roeder seemed to get the best out of him as an attacking centre-mid, arriving late and suchlike. I thought he was absolute w*** in 04/05, when Souness kept picking him, for some Godforsaken reason. Bowyer's one of them weird players that has some sort of void in my memory, sorta thing. He was so highly rated at one point that i can't really believe he played for us. Looking back now, he could have been so much better. Anyhow, yeah. Smith. God - what a f****** w*** player. he was very good at the back end of 05-06 when he partnered Emre in CM and we eventually finished 7th but no, i'm talking 04-05, the dickhead's first season in charge he was comfortably our highest scoring midfielder that season, i thought he looked dynamic, good in the tackle and always up for it. of course the fact that he twated Dyer is probably reason enough
  2. this is the same Nicky Butt everyone agreed was not up to it 3 weeks ago he's been good, really good at times, but not tremendous and we need someone better in there for next season. Not an immobile/limited 33 year old who has good games and bad games

    Alan Smith

Bowyer played well for us in 04-05, in fact he was arguably our best player that season after Bellas (who was sold in Jan) Dyer was on fire in his first 3 seasons for us. And had his moments after that, despite basically being an injury-prone waster Luque was highly rated in spain, looked like Pele's brother in youtube clips and the general concensus was that he was a CF being played out of position Boumsong was good at the Teddy Bears and looked very capable in his first half season. Even captaining us against Fulham in late 04-05 Smith was always an average player and now looks total dogshite. No hint of ability, a brain or pace. The fact that he seemed to have total immunity from being dropped added to the hatred
  4. yeah, takes a real hard man to stamp on someone when their on the ground. Being in the army i see tough guys but never any that would square up to Alan 'did you see what he did to me referee' Shearer You never have a single good word for Alan. Always putting him down in every way you can. PS: They're wasn't so much putting him down as saying his stamp on Lennon is hardly the action of a 'hard man'

  6. the last time we were here we had Onyewu and Craig Moore in the defence and Roeder was our manager, seems like a lifetime ago
  7. Maybe stating the obvious here but he has no role whilst we have a 433 formation. Why's Duff on the bench instead of him then when they both play in the same position? Duff isn't great but at least he wants to be here lads, we're gonna just have to face it, he's off, he's a cunt
  8. anybody suggesting we play Smith in any role needs a genuine slap in the face
  9. What an absolute load of s**** indeed and if 'big al' had have spoken out against Souness like Robert did maybe the scottish cunt would have been sacked before he managed to ruin our club too busy pretending to be a hard man and scoring goals (4 in the prem from open play that season)
  10. I really dont understand why people consider him to be physically capable. Does the fact that he sticks his chest out for the cameras fool you all? He's as weak as piss
  11. Andy O'Brien was a pretty poor defender by premiership standards but I dont remember him looking out of his depth game after game like Taylor has for the best part of 4 years now
  12. you dont think Drogba was worth £24m? they won the title twice with him leading the line, one of those seasons he got more assists than any other player. Then last season he hit 34 goals from open play, including the winner in the FA cup final and remains their most influential player He is a fantastic player, but I also believe he has vastly improved during his time at Chelsea. In my opinion, he certainly wasn't worth £24 at the time of purchase. I don't think many would disagree, retrospective bias aside! 80% of players are bought with a view to them improving

  14. fucking hell lads has to be CB we dont have one capable of getting us anywhere near the top 4
  15. the more time goes on, the more it looks like Mort's decision to get rid of Sam was an excellent one. How many of us were thrilled with his appointment, and how did he make such a balls-up of the job
  16. who in their right mind would wanna win the title for Man u, honestly fucking cunts
  17. were you happy with him when he was playing alongside Smith, Milner and Duff? Were you happy with Martins alongside the same players? (in particular pre-African Nations when Owen was still in and out, and Viduka was injured). content
  18. were you happy with him when he was playing alongside Smith, Milner and Duff?
  19. Martins or Viduka, i'm probably edging towards Martins Owen is a silly choice tbh, without those two he's nothing
