  1. christ on a bike, get back from holiday and find out we've lost Carr, Ramage and Huntington and now have Faye and Beye, amazing! Huntington didn't ever look like a decent defender, his shocking lack of pace would have always been taken advantage of and it's great Sam has looked beyond the 'only young' notion

    Strongest 11?

that's more like it The Zog has shown more ability than Duff, in fairness. if you're using last season to judge Duff, use it for N'zogbia, both looked poor, one compounding the poor performances with an awful attitude I rate N'zogbia, but Duff has a lot more vindication in terms of ability

What did Andy Gray actually say? the guy doesn't half talk some s**** these days, always looking for the easy targets, 2 years ago it was Drogba not anymore is it Andy? you scottish c***

    Strongest 11?

    that's more like it
  5. Harper played well but i'm just not compleltely comfortable with him in goal, few bad kicks, one spill
  6. Apart from his one comedy moment, can you give any examples to back that up? He was beaten in the air once or twice by Carew, but stood his ground. He was leading the defence yesterday, his positioning was excellent and he was playing it out along the ground, which is more than can be said for Rozehnal who was part of the problem with his long balls costing us possession and putting people under pressure. I thought Rozehnal "got away with it" a few times where he let players outmuscle him or get goal side of him, and he broke ranks once or twice as he got drawn towards the ball. I don't want to be too critical of him because he does have qualities, he's certainly quick, tall, seems to have a decent enough reading of the game and he's a calm head at the back, but as Sam alluded to before the Bolton game he can't afford to be doing these things in the Premiership because once managers are aware of his weaknesses they will look to expose him. Hopefully in time he'll get to grips with what the Premiership is all about, I think he has what it takes. Getting back to Taylor, I thought he was very solid yesterday and certainly didn't look like a 21 year old in the heart of our defence. Very professional performance, barring his one 'moment'. Look im sick of people bringing taylors age into it. Ignore his age as Micah Richards is a much better player than him even though hes 2 years younger. Things wrong with Taylor are: 1) Not quick enough- As shown when he got done all over by DJ Cambpell, (conference player). 2) Hes a cheat- Handballs then faking injury. No need for it. 3) He gives stupid fouls away in dangerous areas- E.g. away to arsenal. henry running into the corner so taylor fouls him and they score from the resulting freekick. 4) He gave the ball away on numberous occasions- As shown yesterday. 5) Can be dodgy- As shown yesterday when he fell over and gave the ball away at the back. If Taylor wasnt from Newcastle he wouldnt get bummed by the people that currently do on here. IMO he will be like players like Dawson, jenas, etc. where people make a big deal about them being the next up and coming england international and he will just turn out to be rubbish as dawson is and never good enough for england. I also think for a supposedly agressive 'all action' CB he lacks the mandatory strength
  7. Carr was caught out of position badly on the counter on at least 4 occassions, needs to understand himself better, ie he's an unfit c*** who attacks even worse than he defends
  8. This Emre? http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=33233.0 credit for that one
  9. and the fact he's bought decent players for world class prices
  10. I know Carew's no Owen in the physciality stakes, but fucking hell he outmuscled Taylor horribly on two occassions
  11. I think Allardyce will definetly go for Duff when fit because he play in a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 N'zogbia will be coming off the bench
  12. I think this is the first time I've agreed with you without exception. had to happen, only been on the forum 3 years like plus, the post didn't mention Bramble
  13. looking forward to Geremi going to RB and Emre and Barton forming the core of the midfield, there's a partnership right there noticed the Emre haters aren't quite in full voice tonight
  14. have to say, Shola looked our most dangerous player when he came on, sad, but true Viduka shouldn't play next game imo, needs to get in better shape, last thing we need is another aging, imobile, egotystical striker guarenteed a place in the team
  15. being brutally honest, the players should dictate our system our most capable attacking players imo are; Owen Duff Milner Martins Emre Viduka Barton Smith with the exception of Emre and possibly Duff, none of those players are suited to 4-3-3
  16. so you're playing emre and barton in the middle with duff out wide. yeah, what's the issue here?
  17. I look forward to Emre's return, at least he'll be positive in possession. Same goes for Barton, they'll shine together Crying out for Duff today tbh, the real Duff, not that Rat faced cunt's version
  18. awful game like, DIdn't help that Viduka looked like Shearer in his final season, about as mobile as a table and four chairs
  19. 'Lee Bowyer' was sung very often at away games in particular I rememeber west ham (a) in 2005 (the 4-2) when he came on and won a corner and we went mad, singing his name for a good 5 minutes, the entire section
  20. Could the same not be same about a certain young Dutch keeper. tbh, i've said EXACTLY the same about Krul (substitute 1 for 2)
  21. lost all respect for his dad when he went on that celebrity dancing show and said 'this has been the best experience of my life' what the f*** man, honestly
  22. ridiculous shit, 2 clean sheets and he's the next big thing. Has looked decent, no better
