Sevilla play much better football than Man City last season? Just stop.
-
He's a lot better, but all of them got around 25-26 league goals.
-
He played 45mins and made some mistakes. Not holding it against him or anything but waaaaaaaaay too early to start calling him 'outstanding'. Made some fantastic saves, wasn't wound up by Drogba or Terry and cleaned out Costa the first time a high ball was hoyed in the box. I thought he had a great game. Dear me. What does half of this dreadful post even mean?

At this point I take a small amount of enjoyment from promising player performances. I take zero enjoyment from good results, and always will with Pardew in the dugout. Sad, and I'm sure someone will use it against me at some point, but it's exactly how I feel.
-
I think you're right. It'll taper down to something semi-disrespectful, basically.
-
This is the more level-headed version of my feelings.
-
I'd prefer him to Pardew, doesn't mean I 'wanted' him here. I'd prefer Ant & Dec, too.
-
That's a massively exaggerated version of events, like.
-
They would, just not as many.
-
I watch La Liga. It's a truly great league but I think what lets it down sometimes is the propensity of teams to throw the towel in. The defending, whilst good, isn't as good as the standard in the PL, either. For example 18 months back Soldado, Falcao and Negredo finished the league season with around 80 goals between them for teams outside the top 2. That's just not happening over here.
-
He'd get 35 goals in the PL no bother. It'll be close but I think Ronaldo's lead will tell.
-
Ronaldo'll end up top, then. Quite a fantastic achievement given that fact he wasn't seen as a goalscorer till about 7 years ago.
-
I think he's got the LB spot permanently now, like. No chance Santon, as good as he sometimes is going forward, displaces an important part of a solid defence.
-
I'm made up for Cisse, mind. Great bloke, hell of a goalscorer.
-
Yeah, it's utterly devastating. Worse than Bellamy doing his hamstring against Villa.
-
Lampard's a better player in almost every respect, nobody is disputing it. In fact that's exactly what I was trying to draw attention to.
-
It's totally irrelevant, as performances are always pretty awful with Allardyce in the dugout. The results, however, aren't awful. That's his MO.
-
Nobody agreed with such an idea and nobody implied Lampard isn't naturally gifted. He just isn't as naturally gifted as Ben Arfa from an athletic and technical standpoint.
-
Neither would I. I'd have him over Pardew, mind.
-
Fuck me, you seriously don't believe this do you? Joey Barton has a "set of balls" as well and has had a nothing career for the most part. Lampard is way more gifted than Ben Arfa, stop throwing around cliches. To reference "House of Pain" the Cream of the crop, usually rise to the top. Joey Barton. Joey Barton is a shoddy excuse for an athlete with a decent right peg, no temperament, who probably lacked anything like the right application until he realised his career was going nowhere in his late 20s. That's why he's had a nothing career. Yeah, that 'cream' is generally comprised of talent, a bit of luck, and the balls to make the sacrifices to bring it all together. Lampard spent most of his late teens on West Ham's bench or in the reserves; at that age Ben Arfa was starting for Lyon, on the verge of playing for France and being talked about as a huge talent who'd eventually light up the world stage. If you're dumb enough to think the reason the former has had such an hugely superior career is talent, fair play. I'm not.

Well, actually, the point being disputed is that we looked like going down under Allardyce. Which we didn't. Allardyce's football is awful on the eye but he is far too good at scraping wins to get a side relegated.
