  1. Preparations? Are they rolling out a carpet?
  2. Everyone knows he's our best/most exciting player (admittedly I've seen very little of Cabella). Makes it all the worse that he seemingly values his career far less than players who aren't fit to play PL football.
  3. Why would you want Pardew's football to be effective? All that does is prolong the misery. If there was some guarantee of Pardew's imminent dismissal I'd take Carroll in a second, though. He's pretty much exactly what our 11 needs. I don't but last season has proved to me there is no way he'll get sacked basically. There's no way he'd last long under the type of conditions he was subjected to against Cardiff. His position will just become more and more untenable with bad results to the point he'd no longer be physically safe at SJP. He's a coward. Eventually he'd quit.
  4. That he's that out of shape, i really don't see it. All i see is a player who isn't picked because the manager's ego didn't like his failing as a manager being pointed out. Hatem is no different to last season, played well dropped. Given 20 minutes blamed for defeats. Just rank bad treatment. Of course it is. He shouldn't be coming back from summer overweight, though. He's a naturally small framed, wiry lad. He's hurting his chances of going to another club and escaping this awful situation he's in with Pardew. I do agree he shouldn't come back overweight but i am choosing to believe he is telling the truth about it and Pardew and the club who have bullshitted over and over again, are bullshitting again because of an agenda against him, wanting to sell him before his contract runs out. And for Hatem telling Pardew he's fucking useless and has ruined MYM. I agree with all of this. I just think this should make him more determined to convince the footballing world to give him another chance.

  6. I think it's more the fact it reveals quite a bit about his attitude to his career. It'll have very little effect on his acceleration general skills but it'll hurt his endurance over the course of a game, certainly.

This. I did think it was a bit silly for him to put it on when I first seen it - but it's hardly meant to offend anyone.
  9. What are you actually disagreeing with Bimp?
  10. To me, our signings so far this summer scream that we'll be trying for Carroll or a Carroll type as our main forward.
  11. Nobody worth listening to is backing Pardew over him. Pardew is a terrible manager and Hatem doesn't care about his career anywhere near as much as he should. Both are open to criticism.
  12. It clearly isn't, because by your own admission there are players who've been treated worse who've acted far more like athletes should.
  13. Ironically, the only one that is a true 'upgrade' on the previous incumbents is actually Colback, who is better than Gosling. Cabaye > De Jong HBA > Cabella Debuchy > Janmaat Remy >>>>> Riviere Based on bias.
  14. 1st. i do not expect to see area starting for us again. 2nd. I could see it work with for example tiote and sissoko protecting the defends. 3. thats our best defends. How would you like to have it? 3. It isn't. It's utter shite.
  15. I don't even think playing 7 in midfield could protect that defence, like
  16. Think we were far, far more boring just before signing Sissoko and Debuchy, like. The first of that season we were absolutely fucking abject.

That's actually the best picture of Sunderland I've ever seen.

In an ideal world we buy decent players who don't perform under Pardew. Nowhere to hide then.
  19. You're not certain at all. You assume this to be the case, just like you assume that Besiktas (out of these imaginative options) was the club that offered him the highest wages. Based on these two complete and utter assumptions you then go and criticise him, throwing such ludicrous concepts as his legacy or his lack of desire to win trophies into the mixer. And what do you end up with after all that? A cocktail of stinking f***ing Ronaldo assumption s**** with more than a hint of hypocrisy. Well done sir. Repressed rage at its finest. You should just move in with Michael Barrymore and get it over with, mate.
  20. To reiterate, I'm certain that Demba Ba had better options available to him than Besiktas. He's a good striker of a pretty rare type who's played the best football of his career in the best league in the world in the last 3 seasons.
