Multiple good games this season isn’t the wildest endorsement I’ve ever heard. He’s been decent defensively overall but clearly can’t contribute consistently going forward, which in today’s game is half a full back’s job.
-
Have a word. He’s accepted / invited it all himself by taking that job and being a stubborn alienating prick completely unwilling to adapt to his surroundings. Not to mention signing £400m + worth of shit, hiring McClaren and throwing his toys out of the pram each time we took points of them last season. Fuck him right up the arse.
-
The above is a big exaggeration at best, by the way.
-
Rightly or wrongly someone will get blasted and probably sacked.
-
Crazy game and result. Watched it in the Stretford end. Fair play, we wanted it so much more than them. Livramento’s got to find his way into the team soon.
-
I think most of us knew a RW was high priority. We didn’t go for that player, for whatever reason.
-
‘Brian’ doesn’t rate our CBs. Best partnership in the league incidentally.
-
Ramsdale. Honestly, people see a few saves on tele and think that’s what makes a keeper.
-
Well no, it doesn’t. Neither of them are getting a game even when the other full backs are fucked.
-
Good to see him getting the recognition, finally. He’s genuinely a distance ahead of the other CBs I’ve seen at NUFC.
-
That’s the point surely. We finished 4th way ahead of Villa and Brighton etc last season and they’ve got more matches too. Spurs have lost their best player. The whole point of the transfer window was to prepare for those additional fixtures and try to consolidate our place, surely? If we finish 7th or 8th the owner will ask why the money was spent as it was on players who thus far aren’t able / being allowed to contribute.
-
We did the latter under Alan fkin Pardew dude. Top 6 is the absolute minimum we need to aim for given the early season mitigating circumstances.
-
Not if we want to encourage continual investment and keep our top players happy.
-
My attitude is we’re capable of more. If you want to see that as negative, that’s on you dude.
-
Such a defeatist, negative attitude. We had CL football to offer but have no chance of buying proven top players?
-
Well yeah, that’s the question I’m asking.
-
I’ve said, multiple times, that there’s far more to be positive about than negative but saying ‘great point, we go again’ is worthless. My honest opinion is that the transfer window has seen our competitors make far, far better decisions than us that go beyond budget constraints, and that we’re owned by people who rightly or wrongly want immediate tangible results when they spend money.

He’s fucked and can’t be blamed for it. He’s 33 and playing far too much football.
