Which is exactly why 'we' shouldn't be turning our noses up at Downing, tbh.
-
Where's that from, dude?
-
Won't it be Ben Arfa, Sissoko and Useless behind Cisse? Not bad a formation, just the wrong player at LW.
-
A lot of these seem pretty hopeful. Especially in his first full season in the PL.
-
Big money on us -1. Wish I didn't now I've seen who's LW.
-
Gouffran's not great there either but he's a million times better than Jonas.
-
That team would look infinitely better with him instead of Jonas. Also, Anita needs to be in there instead of Tiote, but at least Tiote is playing in his natural position. I can accept Tiote and Taylor although i don't agree with it, but Jonas is just What performances from MYM have you seen to genuinely suggest he's better than Taylor, btw?
-
Jonas ffs. Somebody just shoot him.

So if we were playing against Andy Carroll and he decided he was going to take up position on Mbiwa's side of the pitch, we'd just shrug our shoulders and say "that's a bummer"? Bit of a difference between Andy Carroll and Danny Graham, like. I've never seen Graham dominate anyone the way he dominated MYM.
-
You'll come crawling back when your buddy is benchwarming and MYM is showing his class My buddy. I think Taylor's a cunt if I'm honest. Solid enough PL defender, though. Which is what you need next to Colo.
-
Against Sunderland, Mbiwa had a hard time containing Danny Graham. What's the point in having a big strong lad like Taylor in the team if he's not going to mark the big target man? Danny Graham a big target man? Graham targeted Mbiwa, not a lot you can do about that. How about detail Taylor to man mark Graham? There's not much he can do if Danny Graham goes and puts himself onto Mapou. Is Mapou meant to run away? Are they meant to continuously swap sides? If Danny Graham can put himself on Mapou, why is it so hard for Taylor to put himself on Danny Graham? This is something I find hard to figure out. Quite often when Colo is playing with Taylor I see Colo up against the big target man as well. Maybe because Taylor is usually more concerned with running back towards the goal posts to do his customary save on the line. It's totally different. Strikers swapping doesn't create risk.
-
I supposed you're another one who's seen loads of MYM in France.
-
Not easy to do that. If a striker is targeting one of the CBs you're gonna leave a man unmarked half the time by constantly trying to swap.
-
Except by who's picking them.
-
I saw him do it first-hand. As did NSG I think. Half of Boro saw the idiot do it.

We'd be making things a lot easier for teams we should be beating by starting with two CBs who lack any sort of physical presence and barely compete on set pieces. We'd concede too many goals.

Weeks after signing for fucking Real Madrid he was in a dive pub in Boro that I wouldn't have been seen dead in on my lowest day, smashing pint glasses over his head and burning £20 notes in front of incontinent old men.
-
Doubt it was anything to do with desire, it was everything to do with injuries. Dude, I saw the way Woodgate conducted himself when I lived in Boro and spoke to a dozen people who grew up with the lad. Everything I saw and heard screamed utter small-time cunt who's natural talent would've been far better used by 95% of the population. Absolute waste.
-
Not with Taylor fit I don't think. Mapou is Colo's replacement, not his partner.
-
Probably why we were prepared to pay £9m for Cisse. He doesn't have an agent.
-
Is he shite. Unbiased Tooj on Steven Taylor.
-
Jesus Christ, dude! Mapou came in to the team not used to anything in our team or league and much more. Most of all we were a mess on the whole. Im quite sure Mapou will prove you wrong and prove his potential and be class in the near future. See, I never said he wouldn't be class in the near future. He's just, right now, an inferior defender to Taylor. He's had his best 3 games well away from the physical battle at LB fwiw.

More difficult to say 'fuck off' to a binding contract, like.
