I'd buy that if the wanker hadn't been making noises about improving the left side.
  2. Wilshere gets the ball and keeps it with his fast feet. It's a bad comparison. Cabaye isn't half the player.
  3. I think this is harsh for reasons we've gone over on here a hundred times. They couldn't sell papers if they didn't have access to matches and press conferences and since our club is basically Communist Russia they have no choice but to toe the line. That possibly limits their options in terms of journos too. It's a piss take of a situation but we've seen what happens to journalists that make life even the slightest bit uncomfortable for Ashley, they get banned from the ground. I have massive sympathy for The Chronicle/Journal, they used to be half-decent (not amazing or anything) when NUFC wasn't run by fucking petty arseholes. Dude, they've been like that since the SBR days, so it goes way beyond Ashley's dictatorship. Talking up the local heroes/bullshitters and taking cheap digs wherever possible at the easy targets, even if they happen to be the real reason the team has prospered. There's a balance to be found in maintaining their local privileges while presenting a semblance of truth and they've never come close to it. Cunts. Anal Oliver used to always give good ratings to those who always gave him interviews even if they were awful. A '9' for Robbie Elliott away to West Ham when he'd been the worst player on the pitch by a mile springs to mind. Same with old Shearer.
  4. They both go missing against the good players and get petulant in Cabaye's case.

    Loïc Remy

Totally oblivious to how utterly shite he is.
  6. I do. Given that two thirds of the midfield would be unable to do what I've alluded to above. Lightweight isn't a problem if you can hold your own and assert yourself. As the players you've listed all do.
  7. I don't want us playing with a DM either. But in CM you need players who can keep the ball, win the ball and move it forward under pressure. Sissoko aside we've nobody I have real faith in to do this.
  8. What rubbish. I don't really see which of those sides have greater physicality than a 3 of Anita, Cabaye and Sissoko? Chelsea perhaps? None of their players fail to compete in CM like Anita and Cabaye. That's the difference, mate.

  10. Yeah, he'll do off like Tevez.
  11. By the way, the local papers have been patronising their readers for over a decade with their cowardly, duplicitous guff. I have no sympathy for them whatsoever for confining themselves to being the club's unofficial mouthpiece when they could feasibly maintain readership with journalistic ability and integrity, ie replacing that illiterate manchild runt.
  12. Maybe we wouldn't suffer from a lack of creativity if we supported the first 11 with players who can, you know, fucking create from time to time. This is a player without an assist in 49 games for us. Next time we drop points because we've barely given Cisse a thing to work with (it'll happen every other week, most likely) remember what you've questioned and advocated. 'We need Jonas.' Honestly, you've no right whatsoever to piss and moan about how inept we are if you're happy for such players to be on the pitch.
  13. Just Ashley exploting NUFC to the full to support his primary interest. Same old story.
  14. What he's said is that they've co-ordinated their financial strength really well. That could just mean they've borrowed money and spent now rather than wait for TV money to reach their bank accounts. Who knows? We know Mike likes to have the money in his account before he spends a bean. What, are they mad? The club will clearly go out of business. Leeds, Portsmouth etc.
  15. Club who broke the world transfer record now has less financial strength than Southampton. I really want Kinnear to sack this cunt and piss in his face.
  16. Kinnear should ask this agent to lick his arsehole.
  17. That's wishful thinking. There's still not nearly enough creativity in that side.
  18. Remy's club wanted rid and we've only got him now that his club needed to get rid. Fuck knows what awful offer we made for Gervinho.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Get a new manager. What did Didier Deschamps do to remedy this, out of interest? Not all Pardew's fault.
  20. being a regular on here I thought the default position was to blame our lot ? maybe using the evidence to hand on each occasion may make things more even. Or you could follow trends in our transfer behaviour which include targeting unsettled players which can lead to protracted negotiations if we're pinching pennies as we always do, and as a result quite often leaving ourselves short and sacrificing points until we get the deal done. transfer window behaviour ? like agreeing a fee for remy last january and (rumour has it) aubameyang a few weeks back ? admittedly we do take advantage of contract stuff (bloody well ope we would) but it's not the be all and end all. If a player's contract isn't vulnerable we're not interested in him. It's no way to built a team.
