Saw Bannan in the Scotland friendly last year. Looked very good, although it was against the Faroes.

The main problem is the centre of midfield not being strong enough and putting pressure on the back four. That, and Warnock having been a nightmare for almost 12 months now. Aren't Liverpool looking to sign Warnock? Surely he's no better than Konchesky and Aurelio? Bet you're laughing if he goes.
-
He's been injured since September Would take McFadden though, along with Gera and Coleman. I'm shocked that Coleman hasn't been signed on again by Everton. Looks like a very good player.

Least you have a pot. Is Kenwright skint or stingy? Both, tbh. I'll just get riled though so I'll leave it. Suffice to say, loans are all we'll be looking at probably. RSC on loan would do nicely, purely because he's a striker who has scored some goals in this damn league. Surely you're not desperate enough to take RSC on?! With the wafer thin squad that you've got, I can't understand why you would let Yakubu out on loan. I know he's shit, but you don't have much choice. But now come to think of it, Moyes must be bringing someone in?

Stoke have made a £5.9 offer for Demba Ba.

What's the point in the cards, when it's not on live TV in the UK anyway? And I don't see what the problem is about asking volunteers to help out for free tickets. Loads of clubs have done something similar (eg. moving snow off the pitch for bacon sandwiches, free admission etc). If NUFC did it, I'm sure there would be a lot of people taking them up on the offer.

Enrique has developed a knack of making the difficult look easy and the easy look difficult. There are sublime moments where he looks world class but also moments of sloppiness which make him look less than average. Bolton away he was shockingly bad. He has achieved cult-hero staus on Tyneside but probably needs a kick up the arse and to cut out the careless parts of his game if he is going to become the player he could potentially be. A bit like Colo, they both like to play their way out of defence - but sometimes a good hoof up the field is better suited. When it comes off, it looks great, but when it goes wrong (eg Bolton), we get punished for it.

Wayne Bridge off to have a medical at West Ham. Loan move.

For any Charlie Adam lovers out there, Blackpool have rejected Birmingham's £2m bid. After Kenny Miller knocked them back, Alex McLeish is failing at bringing in all the Rangers rejects to St Andrews.

That's rubbish. I work in Liverpool and Hodgson was what a lot of people wanted. Like Lawro, they thought he was a good choice at the time, especially after the Europa League success he had at Fulham. They were willing to give him time. Hodgson sets out his team not to lose. They don't create many chances and it's not pretty to watch at all. It's a bit like Allardyce coming here. We thought it was alright appointment at the time and after winning our opening game 3-1 at Bolton, we though 'great'. But after 6 months of watching the long ball game, we were sick of watching rubbish football and crap results. Same with Liverpool fans and Hodgson.

Rumours are that he wants to be closer to family. Anyway, punter puts £2000 on Hodgson to be sacked. Ronaldo?! http://www.goal.com/en/news/2994/betting/2011/01/07/2294522/punter-puts-2000-bet-on-roy-hodgson-to-get-the-sack-from

Who else do we have who could realistically get a hattrick, though? I know we all didn't expect Best's, but can you see Lovenkrands or Shola hitting hattricks this season? Shola's only chance is against the mackems - doesn't do anything else against any other team.
-
Eh? Seems a no-brainer that one. If Hartlepool are playing two games at the same time, they're bound to lose
-
Just seen a stat that Man Utd (99/00) and Arsenal (03/04) had 4 different players to score a hat trick in one PL season. Would be great if we could beat that

Coyle plays attacking football. Woy sets his teams out not to lose. Huge difference. TBF to Liverpool fans, they were accepted Hodgson at the start of the season, thinking he was going to turn the club around. Unfortunately for them, it hasn't turned out that way.
