i don’t think minutes will be an issue - it’s better to be in this environment than being loaned imo - you learn a hell of a lot more at the club than you would do elsewhere - the only time this is any different is if you are here in the Ashley era and have Bruce and his poor coaching staff working with you on a 5-4-1 system

It’s a really interesting one this - all the talk season end was 5 (coming from the press briefings at the time) - we have signed 1 (Barnes and Maxi cancel each other out imo) Livramento and Hall I would take in a heartbeat Then a CB and RCM/RWF if ever such a player can be sought

If he’s progressing at this pace then I don’t think we are loaning him at all - just depends on how we recruit I suppose Nice to finally have some youth team players break through - him and Elliott look really talented

Unless the loan can guarantee him significant playing time at a club playing the right football then there’s no point - think for his development it’s best to keep him and let him work under the coaches and players

Just to add as I watched that - the podcaster said very infrequently - so in a 38 game season possiblly 2/3 times? If we get Livramento and a CB I’d be over the moon Maybe LB is upgraded in 24/25

just seems better suited to LWF but I suppose he will grow into an all round player - so yeah fair point - might not be an area we strengthen

He’s not an out and out RB like Trippier but can do a job - much better than Burn at LB - hence why you also need a full time LB to balance things out a bit Like the earlier post - he has really good technical ability
