You did those @ mention thingys, so clearly you were begging for my vulnerable emotional reaction.. it's like YOU'RE MY WIFE NOW indeed
-
You biiiitch Of course he's on THE LIST. It contains EVERY player in Europe who is realistically attainable and ready to start for us on the wing in the fight for top 5. I'm sad enough to add a section for RCBs, so stay tuned (motherfucker)

'm watching the Olympics on the sofa, I'm chilled".. no, you're (needlessly) being an asshole on the internet. So yeah fuck off
-
Relax mate.. my point wasn't that I'm better than Eddie Howe or Mitchell at scouting football potential. The list was done on FM. I wrote the 'better than Thiaw' line, because Eddie and the player's agent dismissed the rumour and aye, I believe we can do better, even if it's an older, more boring player with PL experience

I've taken special care to filter the unrealistic ones. It's a bit lame but I've taken the time to do basic formatting.. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQdvNpPdDXczkDDCzTGCcPfOwEFDnaiEc4PrEkhi_sF7pzPhj6j1nY-lfOEBU92kY9r5H7LxoYZ6K8Z/pubhtml I sent it to [email protected] a while ago so we should be good

Weirdly specific dismissal from Eddie. Worrying.

Aye, the restructuring, coupled with Mitchell's focus on recruitment always meant that whatever transfer plans Howe and Nixon had drawn would be put on hold. It's very frustrating but we should be patient. We have the money to react and we will improve the team in August - it's not that hard to sign a better winger than Miggy, there are at least 30-40 players who are proven in a top league and are attainable. The intriguing question for me is what type of player are we looking for that position - winger/inside forward/ wide playmaker.. CB should also be fairly easy to strengthen with a better player than Thiaw
-
Why do people think we have no money to spend? We've obviously successfully passed the PCR deadline, so we should be able to spend AT LEAST the amount we did in the year that's just dropped off from the 3-year rolling cycle.. which is more than 120 mil.. but it should be more, as our revenues have risen nearly 100% in that time. Even if we factor in Hall and Kelly's transfers, there should be enough money for two 'purples' and youngish backup..

Don't want to be harsh on the young lad but there were a couple of small situations in the Australian friendlies that I've honestly rarely seen a professional forward do even in the fucking bulgarian league. One was against Spurs, he entered as the lone striker but imo, positionally he looked like he has never played the role. Tino or somebody would break through on the wing with loads of space behind their defence and Kuol would be WALKING SIDEWAYS near the central circle.. or somebody is dribbling into the area at pace and instead of making a run to occupy a defender, free up space he just stays in place, marked by two people.. These are things that can be worked on but there's a reason he was 30 times cheaper than Minteh, for example.
-
Not sure on Thiaw.. Haven't watched him and I'm not a good judge of defensive players but youtube clips usually try to show the best in a player.. he doesn't look very imposing or assertive and some of his defending is panicky.. Also the way he plays out from the back with his weaker foot so nonchalantly seems very strange.. Anyway, I'm sure Eddie has seen more than a couple of clips, so if that's the guy, that's the guy.
-
Spot on imo.. Still I wouldn't read TOO much in Eddie's political offensive. He's not leaving, he doesn't care about int management. Eddie probably won't like some of the changes but he's professional enough to carry on with his job with slightly reduced responsibilities. He was appointed as a 'head coach' after all.. unless his secret contract renewal states otherwise. If I'm not mistaken, until last week Dan Hodges was the head of performance. He's been with Eddie and JT since the start at Bournemouth, so they're probably very close. Hodges will probably carry on with his work but he might need to follow Bunce's methodology/decisions now. Not very clued up on this but fitness, workload and recovery should be his domain. He has overseen a high number of injuries each season at B'mouth and Newcastle, so maybe it's time we try something else. Other conflict point might be recruitment, where Eddie might feel that they've done a lot of hard preparation for the summer for it to be halted.. or Andy Howe's involvement might be lessened, as Mitchell specialises in that stuff and will probably change the structure / hire somebody to his taste.. Personally, I love Eddie and I would stick with him, even if we're say 10th next season. His success has won him a lot of control at the club but imo he must give up some of it for the sake of growing as a club. I'm confident they'll make it work, everything else would be childish and unprofessional and we're not that club anymore.
-
Why are there no English clubs linked to En-Nesyri? He's in his last contract year, seems perfect for a PL targetman.. Does he have injury issues or something or he really hates British weather? Mateta is another striker, who I thought would generate more interest.. I'd love him as an option for us.

I'm having another productive day at work so here's an extended ST/RW shortlist I managed to compile (using FM of course): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQdvNpPdDXczkDDCzTGCcPfOwEFDnaiEc4PrEkhi_sF7pzPhj6j1nY-lfOEBU92kY9r5H7LxoYZ6K8Z/pubhtml Basically the criteria is: - not older than 28 - current wages below 160k - above average athleticism; taller than 1.70 - proven at a decent level I removed some unrealistic options that fit the criteria - Nico W, Olmo etc..
-
I haven't seen Kubo in a full match although I've tracked his progress over the years.. He has that typical left-footed footballing genius.. dribbling agility, passing vision, crossing/shooting technique.. Gnonto, on the other hand, seems to me more of an athletic striker but he's too small for that role.. from what I've seen he lacks the footballing brain to ever be a top creative player from the wing..
-
I think so too. RW being the priority for me. However it seems that after Olise, there isn't really an obvious RW option in the market for a club in our position. - We're probably not looking at players who already earn more than ~150k - We won't pay big money for somebody that is older than 27-28 - Eddie prefers athletic players with potential to grow and motivation to improve That probably leaves a list of max. 20-25 players who might be available to us and have the ability to start at RW for a team fighting for top 4/5. The best ones on the market probably wouldn't sign for us now - Niko Williams, Olmo, Eze.. the next level are probably players like Bowen, Neto, Mbeumo who all have a question marks for the prices they'd demand.
-
If Gnonto is the best we can do with more than 100mil to spend I'd be very worried about our scouting and our ambition. He had a very disappointing season, didn't even look committed at times.. even at his best, he lacks any sort of creative vision and he's shooort.. I'd stay well clear. Not a fan of Summerville either, we should aim higher for the wing position. Rutter is an exciting creative attacker but his decision making looks shit too. I'd never suggest a fellow countryman just cause of the nationality bullshit but Iliya Gruev would be my only pick from Leeds - seemed very composed and assured in his debut season and plays the deep-lying playmaker role a bit like Bruno.. would be an interesting option for a cheaper understudy
-
She did an amazing job for us. It was clear she doesn't have the finances to maintain the level of investment as a shareholder but I was hoping that she'd stay in a consultancy role of sorts... Thank you for everything Amanda and Mehrdad!
-
Like I did (wrongly) with Gordon, I don't think DCL is a good option.. cause of his injury history mainly but he also seems mentally complacent. Still, if he's motivated to start over his career and work hard for Eddie, like Anthony, it could be an astute transfer for a low-ish fee. But we've probably offered him slightly more than his current salary.. he's supposed to be on more than 100k a week. If it's true that he couldn't agree personal terms with us, then he's clearly not motivated to improve, so he's not our guy.
-
Chiesa is supposed to be on ~150k a week.. which would align him with our highest earners.. so not impossible but risky, considering his injuries..
-
Yep, I'm one of those that'd prefer a left footed technician with fine pass/cross from the RW position.. not so much a strong athletic striker or a dribbler with limited delivery.. Not that I watch the Portuguese league but (an improved) Trincao seems to fit the profile perfectly, although he wasn't very impressive at Wolves.. His understudy Marcus Edwards also has interesting stats, but he's probably too short for Eddie's liking.. although Neto is even shorter The comparison tool gives an accurate picture when the players are from the same team:

My friend, if you are westerner running a business in our post-totalitarian bureaucracy.. it's you that is THE FEROCIOUS FIGHTER! Although it's derailing the thread, I'd love to read more of your overall impressions.. Belarus ffs, it's not safe for you to go there anymore right? Re-reading what I wrote, I was perhaps a bit harsh on our Serbian neighbours - as everywhere (apart from fucking russia - the root of all evil) the majority would be good, friendly people. But the scars of war remain (war is a soft word for the mass genocide that were the Yugoslav wars) and together with the eternal criminal russian influence, they form this invisible ugly underbelly, that in my experience, is totally oblivious to most foreigners who visit. On the surface things might look okay-ish but our societies are terminally sick and there's no chance of a cure, until fucking russia disintegrates in 1000s pieces. Just a quick note on England - as always I'm following the BBC/ITV coverage and I'M DYING!! The awkward long-winded patriotic reports pre-game - Kobe Mainoo pictured in slo-mo training in the rain, as if he's some kind of a martyr, discussing if Jude is "one of the best to ever step foot on a pitch".. then comes the usual shock and disbelief at half time.. and the full-on meltdown and vitriol at full-time.. top quality entertainment! Otherwise, Bellingham seems like a colossal twat.. I can picture him bullying the young lads at Castilla, taking their lunch money and stuff..

It's fucking MGM though - the original casino betting sharks.. Never seen the annoying Chris Rick ads? https://youtu.be/IxEGy60Wcuc?si=L4HDWJ9hL0B-g726

Absolutely, as a fellow dodgy Balkan resident, there are very clear differences in the profile of the fans and their behaviour - 95% of English fans are decent, civilised people who try to live a good life but are maybe prone to the occasional drunk embarrassment. While in eastern europe the organised fans, the so called ultras, are 90% criminals, ex or future convicts, primitive people who live very primitive lives. The high % is not an exaggeration. As a rule, big clubs in the Balkans are owned by oligarchs connected to the russian mafia and most of them follow the same model - the ultras would merge with the owner's security company (every oligarch has at least one) and they become like a private praetorian guard for the owner - which makes for a very militant make up, usually dominated by some sort of an organised-crime group.. At what was my home club - Levski, most ultras are part of a well known drug 'cartel'. In Serbia, I imagine it's even worse - a lot of men, still in active age who have actual very bloody war experiences. There's a large Serbian volunteer battalion fighting in Ukraine for fucking russia since the start of the full-scale invasion. Granted, I doubt there are any of them in Germany now.. Of course, fucking Russia won the subhuman prize, sending Spetsnaz and Wagner killers to Euro 2016..

Cause systematic abuse of workers is a serious criminal offence? Not that the (endless) article gives much proof of this
