  1. Bloody hell, not a bad game this
  2. I definitely made that happen. All part of the plan
  3. Oh no doubt, I'd want all our players to care that much. I just think he's an absolute prick and enjoy seeing him unhappy
  4. I do love a good Ronaldo strop
  5. Class that from Sancho, lovely finish
  6. Going into the window only 2 points away from safety (albeit with games in-hand against) will do wonders for our ability to bring players in you'd think. I can't believe we're not totally cut adrift tbh
  7. We looked so good - so pleased with the amount of fight we had right to the end. God dammit we can do this - few key signings and we're staying up. Fuck Man Utd the lucky cunts

    Alan Shearer

Absolutely a legend. No matter how much success the club has in the future it won't change what a brilliant goalscorer he was for us, and the fact that he chose to come home.
  9. Love our current one - classy and grand-feeling. Wouldn’t want to change it
  10. I love how unpolished she is in these interviews, sounds so sincere and genuine
  11. Pre-takeover Howe was the kind of person I'd have loved us to go for, someone young, attacking, with a good football brain. We're not there yet in terms of competing for top managers and players, so tbh I'm very happy with this signing, get someone young in who can build the club and grow with it. Could end up being a match made in heaven if he makes a real success of it, and if not we can part ways ideally in a better position than we are now.
  12. Happy with this, very good appointment considering our position

    Alan Shearer

This is it for me. Not sure how deserving bad things is going to gel when we’re lifting the champions league trophy but I’ll cross that bridge at the time
  14. Ando vindicated. Thank the fucking lord this cretin is out of our club
  15. Wish he was going sooner but honestly the difference it makes having owners who communicate and keep us updated. Fine with it really because at least Amanda has let us know what the thinking is, even if I don’t wholly agree with it. Trust them to get this right in the long run
  16. Don’t blame Shearer at all for the relegation, was always a near impossible task, but the management ship has sailed for him a long time ago. Love the man, he’s my childhood hero and want him in an ambassador role ASAP, just not anywhere near the first team setup
  17. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little conflicted. I suppose what it comes down to for me is that we have no say in this, we can't pick the owners. The owners are who they are, regardless of what any one of us thinks about it. I'm really, really happy that the club I love is going to get some investment and allowed to grow. I'm buzzing about it. I'm also not going to start hero-worshiping what is a pretty grim regime in SA - the Saudi flags stuff, pictures of MBS etc. is not a good look for the fanbase at all. So far the ownership is saying all the right things - the club will continue to back important social causes, invest in the local community, invest in the women's game etc. I'll be judging them on their actions, and whether these promises are kept. If they are, I'll be absolutely delighted, and unashamedly so. I just have to accept that this is another one of those hypocrisies that we all live with in modern life - no different to my purchasing an iPhone made in China. I've made my peace with it - you can continue to call out abhorrent behaviours and practices while admitting that to live in the modern world it's almost unavoidable not to be a bit of a hypocrite with it.
  18. It's vital we get the right people in upstairs - managers come and go but having the right structure above them will give that consistency. Conte's the one for me - he's got the ability to galvanise this group of players in the short term, get us climbing the table and if backed in January I could see us finishing in a Europa League spot. Fuck it, let's be ambitious, get back into Europe ASAP and start the real rebuild in the summer.
  19. saved the cans til tonight cos of work - lil drunk but just pure happy that ashley is gone and I can actually have some hope for my club again
  20. We went down due to a Damien Duff own goal against Aston Villa, and cried.
  21. 15 then and now about to turn 30. Hard to know if the mad levels of enthusiasm I felt for the club back then was due to youth or just through having a club that tries - guess I’ll find out soon enough! These last few days have certainly given a bit of a hint like
  22. Newcastle v Wigan - December 2012, 3-0 win for us with a great goal from Bigi. Next game - as soon as I can afford to get back up there.
