He could sign another and say that he sees Perch as more of a utility man, covering positions all over the pitch.
-
Loan with a view to buy would be absolutely perfect. If he has a good season we bring him in, if he's a petulant prick who doesn't put any effort in, then we just sent him back. Win-win.

Could Ozil not reach an agreement with Werder, to sign a new contract when he wants to go, just so that Werder can get as much cash as possible for him? I dunno if that'd be illegal or not though.

The even sadder truth is Ashley has done nothing so far to warrant any credit. If he had I and thousands of other fans would be happy. didn't he pick up the short fall in the black hole of the clubs finances ? Not to mention backing Hughton in the January window, giving him the cash he needed to bring in the players we needed. But then again, Ashley evil, very bad man.

Any chance of getting Wilshere on loan? Or is he expected to break into the Arsenal team this season?
-
That is the greatest looking trophy I've ever seen.

"WE LEFT DA HOUSE KEYS INSIDE DA HOUSE WHEN WE WERE IN A RUSH TO DA AIRPORT!!!! OMGG !!!!! "

Huh? Woops, didn't read the article properly, just scanned over the quotes. Assumed it was Hughton.
-
Hopefully Chris is just making those comments to up his confidence, and doesn't really plan to keep him here this season.
-
God I wish we were with Umbro. In black and white that would be absolutely incredible...
-
He's not, or at least won't be for much longer, has/had a relegation release clause.
-
Colo and Williamson for me. Not convinced Campbell should be first choice.

i'd like to see that number come down to 21 or 22 in time. Should be fun when we get the usual 6-7 injuries at the same time. There's no limit on youngsters though. Good rule IMO. Totally agree Dave - will make things into a more level playing field, but there will be an even greater scramble to get the best youngsters - Vuckic could be a major target for bigger clubs if he maintains improvement. Esp as at the end of this season Vuckic will be classed as home grown. another half season i think He would become HG after 3 seasons or 36 months. So we were both wrong as he joined us on On 16 January 2009. I thought it was 4 years? Probably wrong like, as I have no idea where I got that number.
-
Happy with this. Gives us experience and cover at the back, can't imagine he's on huge wages and probably not on a long contract. Good signing, Chris.

Good rule IMO. how do you mean ? can teams register 40 players if they are youngeters etc ? Don't have to register anyone under 21 iirc. i see, didn't know that. Play more Football Manager. Any football knowledge I have comes from that, basically.

If we stay up this year (a reasonably big ask) then next summer will probably be a decent time to judge. I remain unconvinced he has any ambition for us other than scraping survival each year at minimal cost, and I'm not sure where you get the idea there is cash to spend at present. Sell to buy is where we are at present as I see it. Generally agree for the sake of the club's stability though, and I'd be worried about a prospective sale landing us with someone even more clueless. Just based on the signing of Perch really. After last January window where Hughton seemed to go and identify our weaknesses pretty well, I don't think he'd spend our entire budget on Perch, knowing we have a lot of other areas that need greater strengthening. That to me suggests there's still more money there to be spent. I'm hoping Ashley's learnt from his mistakes, and won't see mere survival as enough. Probably wishful thinking, like.
-
I know Ashley's a prick, and this is sacrilege, but tbh the way he's running the club right now, I'm happy with. Hughton seems to have funds to bring in players, and we're not splashing out shit loads of cash on overpaid primadonnas. For the future at least, this can only be a good thing.
-
Fucking hell, imagine if he actually wanted to come here and we screwed it up...
-
Thank fuck for that. Lets go get us another Jose.
-
Definitely, as a loan signing there really is no downside I can see.
-
Would love to get him on loan, possibly with a fee to buy. Couldn't see him coming here permanently, not yet anyway, if we have a decent season and stay up then maybe I could see it. Would also be able to wash our hands of him if he ends up being shit. Wishful thinking is fun.
