  1. To be honest it could be a blessing that his form dropped towards the end of the season, as it will keep the big clubs away from him.
  2. Thats a decent squad to be fair. With Richards invovled, would be the best.
  3. Jagielka? He hasnt made Everton's team for 6 months has he? Was struggling to think of a centre-half instead of him. Dawson perhaps?
  4. I can see the squad looking like this. If rumours are true. GK:Hart, Carson, Green Def: G.Johnson, Jones, Cahill, Lescott, Terry, Jagielka, Baines, Cole Midfield: A.Johnson, Walcott, Parker, Barry, Milner, Young, Gerrard, Lampard Attack: Rooney, Carroll, Wellbeck, Sturridge
  5. Still dont think hes a realistic target.. hes a palyer that will be after champions league football, isnt he out injured for a long time anyway
  6. Englands new Owen Hargreaves.. Mr James Perch ... aka Mr Fix It
  7. As if he would come back to us, after way he was treat when on loan here. Can see him off to Italy or Spurs.
  8. Would be fantastic for us I cant think who would go with Johnson, perhaps Phil Jones will be the back up right back. that would be daft in the extreme, Jones hasn't exactly shone this season and if its an issue of covering cb Richards covers that too. Plus determining Johnson as better than Richards is insane If Walker and Richards dont go .. they are the only other options.
  9. Would be fantastic for us I cant think who would go with Johnson, perhaps Phil Jones will be the back up right back.
  10. Tim Howard?? Thanks for the all Australians are arseholes comment Although I agree to a certain degree
  11. Meh... Cahill is a prick. Treated as a God over here. To be fair around 2006 to 2010 he was a phenominal attacking midfielder. Not the best technique, but his goalscoring speaks for itself. These days hes nothing more than a hack. Im all Cabaye baby.
  12. If Inman is being kept on and his 20 years old, you would think he would have to be pushing toward the first team squad by next season.
  13. Agreed I got raped on here for saying such things a couple of weeks ago
  14. Raylor stays. Raylor knows his limitations, doesn't complain, can play mulitple postions and puts in a good shift when needed. We need players like him and Perch in the squad. Agreed keep Raylor and Perch as the back up fullbacks along with Saylor who can fill in there. Sign Debuchy and a centre half and we are sorted. defensively.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

We will see him at the Euros Forgot all about that. Hope he finds a little more consistancy next season. I expect him to. Phenominal player when hes on form.
  16. That's not a bad list. Contrary to perceived wisdom, Villa fans wouldn't care about employing a former Blues manager. It is employing a manager with a record of s*** football and getting relegated that riles us. If thats the case i honestly believe Houghton would be the perfect fit. Hed stabilise the club, find a more attractive way of playing, but still playing to the strengths of your squad. His record with rebuilding Newcastle and Birmingham speaks for itself.
  17. My list would be Renieri, De Matteo, Lambert or Hughton
  18. How about Roberto di Matteo, provided he doesnt get the Chelsea job?
  19. Easily the best of the kids this season, he's definitely got a future. So long as he doesn't get filmed outside Gatecrasher on Broad Street trying to kick f*** out of the glass doors again. Good to hear. To be fair, if theres one thing about Villa, is that a good 4 or 5 of your youngins look like they can make it at the top level with a bit more development. So its not all doom and gloom.
  20. Shows how closely you've been watching. Heskey has largely been in midfield this season. Honestly, really. yeah I didn't watch Villa at all, the paint drying was more entertaining than the dross Mcleish threw up. Hell Houilier didn't do well but at least he tried to play a little bit of football That's the difference, entirely. Incidentally, McLeish also got a pretty easy ride off the fans. It was only the last seven or eight games when we heard any chants about him. How did Chris Herd end up Brummie? Can you see him featuring next season now McLeish is gone?
  21. Theres still a quality player in Torres, his movement and technique is still sublime. He just lacks sharpness is the finishing business. But yeh would be stupid to swap an in form player for an out of form player.
  22. Yeh I have alot of respect for Kompany, Yaya and Aguero. All class players and professionals. What a spine!
